One of the most difficult decisions someone ever have to make, is choosing a career to study. It is difficult to decide, because it is what you are going to study and work at, for the rest of your life, and you are afraid you won't make the best decision, because you want to do somehing that you realy like.

It seems everybody has trouble deciding, but I don't think I had that much trouble. At first, I wanted to be a vet, but then I discovered that I had to ``hurt´´ animals and see blood, It never caught my attention again. Later, after a few years, I decided to be a video games designer, because I really like computer designing, but I lost my interest on the next year. Another job I wanted to do, was trainig. I wanted to be a rhythmic gymnastics trainer, but I thought It was stupid and had no sence. I was running out of ideas when I discovered International relations.

I found this job, when I discovered I was very good at learning and speaking different languajes. I discovered I was also learning Greek and Latin at school, but when I was a little older. I always had that obssesion with languajes!! International relations is when you travle to another country, for example Russia, and because I know Russian and Spanish, I stay in Russia to help Spanish people that come there for paper stuff and documents, but I am also interested in Tourisim.

In my opinion, this is a very good job, because you combine traveling, plus speaking different languajes and working with government, and also whe can't forget about the money because, you earn a lot of money for the work. Learning different languajes is not very difficult for me, but maybe for other people it is difficult to learn.

Veronica Borzenko 3ºD

One of the most difficult desicions someone may ever have to take is choosing a career. What factors should we take into account when doing it.
On the one hand we have the physical factors, such as your location, your qualifications and your contacts. It depends on what you want to work in, the place the place you must go and where you live. It is safe to assume that if you lived here in Villaviciosa and you would like to work in Boadilla is perfect because you're next to it. Obviously your qualifications may also affect what do you want to work as, as higher qualifications obtained, higher posibilities to find a better job.
On the other hand we have psychological factors, for instance your skills, your interests and your motivations. All of these are factors that depend on you and furthermore are very important because for example going to work an hour away from your house is not a problem, on the contrary, it is better than working in something you aren't interested in. Moreover your motivation in something is also important, imagine being working in something that doesn't motivate you. For example when your interests are helping others and some of your skills are problem solving and teamwork, you can work as a fireman.
As far as i'm concerned all these factors are important when choosing a career, for instance, I want to be an actress, because I am interested in acting and I have motivation on it, I'm good at acting and my personality helps with that. Obviously my location for this isn't that good and I haven't obtained my qualifications yet, but I think that location does not really matters and that by this time in a few years I will have got great qualifications.

CLAUDIA GIL DE ZÚÑIGA Y CÁCERES. 3°D

One of the most difficult decisions someone may ever have to make is choosing a career. This is said because your choice will determine the quality of education you will be receiving as well as shape your independence. In this essay, I plan to go over factors that should be acknowledged before selecting your career and the consequences that this choice may have in your life.

It seems safe to assume that some people do not take it seriously when taking this type of decisions. Choosing the right career for you is not just what you like or what you have been told, but a process of getting to know yourself. Your strengths and weaknesses play an important role here. If you are good at something or you feel you can meet any challenge, can be a start to elect.

At the same time, searching for the right university can be a long and painful process. The quality of education between one college and another can be completely different . The level you might obtain can make a difference when you want to apply for a job. Also, if you are planning to study abroad or make a Master’s degree afterwards, the value of your knowledge compared to others would be astronomical.

All in all, I believe that a career should be thoroughly chosen and that it should not be taken lightly. Furthermore, a good choice can make a difference which will make you feel proud .Who knows if this decision can make you be the best in your field when you grow up?

Nuria Puerta 4ºC

One of the most difficult decisions someone may ever have to make in his or her life is choosing a career. Of course, many factors must be taken into account, such as individual values and motivations, skills, personality, location, qualifications, contacts, etc. But the two that people should give the most importance to are money and personal interests.

It seems safe to assume that most people hope their effort will serve for more than the basics of life. Consequently, the salary becomes a significant factor in choosing a career as it can guarantee a certain standard of living. Moreover, specific high paying jobs generally provide job security because they are always in demand. Furthermore, they often offer social benefits as well.

Clearly all this, a career that pays well is essential for a comfortable lifestyle and a secure future. Yet, at the same time, it seems only natural to consider job satisfaction. Who would not like to do a work that he or she likes? However, changing conditions may make work contentment difficult to predict.

In conclusion, as far as I am concerned, in a rapidly changing world, long-term job security should take priority over satisfaction. Since a career choice tends to be a choice for life, its long-term benefits should be considered as the crucial factor.

217 WORDS
Miguel Millanes Melgares – 4th C

One of the most difficult decisions someone may ever have to make is choosing a career. Obviously, there are a lot of factors that have to be considered, but the two that people should give more importance to are job satisfaction and someone's personality.

What motivates many people to pursue a certain career is an idea of how much money they will earn. However, few people take into account their personality. For example, if you want to become a doctor it is very important to be hard-working, sociable and empathetic. So it is very important to know yourself very well in order to choose a career.

At the same time, it seems only natural to consider job satisfaction. Who would not like go to their job happily and energetically. However, this can be difficult to predict. For instance, you cannot really know how satisfying it will turn out to be. That's why, it is very important to choose a career according more or less to your personality.

To sum up, as far as I am concerned, many people choose their careers according to the salary they will earn. In my opinion, that's a terrible mistake, I think that job satisfaction should take priority over potential salary.

Ivan Sanchez 4A

Choosing a career can be one of the most difficult decisions we face in life, is a decisive moment that make us take one path or another in relation to our future.

To start with, there are many reasons for choosing a career. There are three main points which play an important role in the moment when we have to take the important decision of choosing a career. Firstly, every degree asks for an average grade to gain admission to it. After this, the economic factor is also very important, because universities also asked for a specific amount of money, to access. Location spends money, time, since some universities do not have all the degrees people want, and some towns do not have universities nearby.

Furthermore, apart from the advantages and disadvantages to go to university, this decision gives you learning and expirience. There are many ways to obtain new formation and concepts, universities offer a wide range of ways to obtain this, such as a PhD, going abroad to study, titles, etc.

To sum up, this opportunity gives people expirience, friends and also knowledge. Is a difficult decision to make and also a difficult moment in our lives, is something to make the most of it and also take advantages of it.
ROCÍO GÓMEZ 4-C

One of the most difficult decisions someone may ever have to make is choosing a career. We have to consider many factors, and the most important in my opinion are; if you like this career, the potential salary and your posibilities.

It seems safe to assume that if you work you will earn mony to take care of all the necessary exprenses; eating, buying a house, paying the light and water. Clearly all this costs a lot of money, and this money can only be obtained with hard work. Consequently, money becomes a significant factor in choosing a career.

At the same time, it seems natural your election because you like it, or because of your posibilities. Who wouldn´t prefer to do a job that he/she like instead of accepting a job because any other factor. However, unlike salaries, are difficult to predict in order of your preference and your accomodation. Sometimes people, when thay choose a career, they changed their minds about that career and mostly when they finish that career.

In conclusion, as far as i´m concerned, i would choose a career that isn´t difficult to me, because of my posibilities and with a median salary because i won´t know until the last moment if i´m going to like that profession or not.

One of the most difficult decisions someone may ever have to make is choosing a career because it determines our future. For example , in my case, I still haven´t decided. But if they told me to choose today, it would be accounting.

So, if I chose this career , I suppose that I would find a job since there are few people who are qualified to do the work . Also , if I found an accounting job , this job would give me new friends and more knowledge about accounting since we could take extra lessons and teach each other. Another reason for choosing this job is that it would give me economic stability because it is well paid. This would allow me to have and raise a family, have a car, and have a house without difficulty.

On one hand, this job involves a series of dangers, these are that in the future with the advance of technology and calculation programs, the amount of work could be lost or disminished. But on the other hand it could be a great help for this job.

In conclusion, I think that having this job would be great, even knowing all the pros and cons since technology is made to help, and not replace people.

One of the most difficult decisions people may ever have to make is choosing their careers. It is reasonable to get different views about which one is more important. Therefore, there are several reasons for what I think computer engineering will be the best choice.

To begin with, technology nowadays and in near future too. It seems safe to assume that computers and technology are going to be in our lives. Because of this, companies will need computer programmers to develop our society and our world.

By contrast, without this type of employees creating websites, shopping centre’s incomes will decrease.

At the same time, despite the high mark required to enrol on this university degree, workers can earn a surprising amount of money.

Moreover, computer engineering is just a matter practice. It is perfect for people who do not want to memorise pages and pages every day.

Taking all the factors into account, in my humble opinion it is much better computer engineering than other kinds of degrees. Nevertheless, our community needs a high labour’s variety and all the future workers are going to change the world.

Today I think education is very important because the world is changing and we need to be updated.

It seem safe to assume we are going to be studying our entire life, so we need to be aware of it. These few days I've been thinking about all this and I've made a conclusion. My best choice is to study some engineering degree about technology or the internet, because there is a whole world to discover about all that. Also, I'm going to choose something like that because I really like the world of technology and the uses in our lifes.

On the other hand I think that I'll study more than one degree because I need to be prepared if I want to have a job and also be happier because the more knowledge you have, the more satisfied you feel. In contrast, I think there are some things that shouldn't be tough at school or university because now we have it all on the internet and it's not necessary to learn in anywhere else.

In conclusion, nowadays it's very important to study a degree and to be good at something.
