In "Choctaw Leader" , Alibamo Mingo warmly reflects on the relationship with France and the Indians when he was young. Telling how France would supply them with resources and treat them justly. He tells of what he expects in terms of behavior from the English after the French have been driven out hoping for the same treatment and fair trading practices. With land being a topic of debate, Alibamo shares his concern of misguidance by the English hand and mistreatment and disrespect of their women. He wishes for a good outcome between the two and tells of his aspirations of sharing the land between races and living together in amity.

H - This document was written during the mid to late 1700s following the Seven Years War. The Natives lost their French allies due to the war and were then being controlled by the English.
I - Mingo reflected on his and his own tribes' experience for future readers such as historians, fellow Natives, and others in order to verbalize his opinions on the shift from French to English treatment. With that, this document is biased as he speaks for others and on subjects others may disagree with.
P - This document was created to detail the experiences of the Natives following a sudden and major change in their lifestyles. Mingo describes how their interaction with the English differed from those with the French.
P - Mingo was the Choctaw tribal leader meaning his experiences and opinions with the English may be different from lower class(?) members and different tribes. This shows that he wrote this as an outsider from much of what occurred.

H- This letter was written after the downfall of the seven years war in 1765. And is written by a Choctaw leader who expresses his feelings towards the replacement of the French on the part of the English.
I- Mingo intended for this letter to be primarily targeted towards himself, as he was at large reflecting on his personal feelings with regards to the recent events.
P- The author's purpose in writing this document was to illustrate the brutality of the new British rule, as well as to ruminate on his past feelings towards the French.
P- The perspective of this letter is that of Alimbo Mingo who was a Native American, and as thus he would experience much harsher treatment from the settlers, so he would develop much greater feelings of resentment towards them.
