My class is naturally geared towards SEL, but not explicitly so, and this can lead to students being overlooked. The students create a google slides presentation about themselves: what symbols represent them, what music/movies/places/food/sports interest them. It is a good way to help the students break a little out of their shells, develop the positivity within the classroom, and allow students find things they have in common with one another.

I'd like to set aside the time at the beginning of next semester when my classes start over to do things right.
