My name is Kylie June Edwards. I have loved to bake and cook since I was very little. About 3 actually. When I was 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 I would help my mom make cookies, cakes, cupcakes and much more. When I hit the age 8 I started to bake on my own and I realized that
I wanted to be a chef and baker when I grew up at the age of 9. I found my love of baking when I was very little then when I started getting older I soon started to cook too. My first experience with cooking started with simple things like making pasta and cooking things in the oven. Now i am 10 years old almost 11 and I am still baking and cooking a lot. I have started to be trusted in the kitchen so most of the time I don't even have to say anything to anyone if I want to bake or cook. If you want to start baking or cooking, don't be afraid to start at any point in your life. i hope you get some inspiration on how to do simple tings like boiling water and cooking things in the oven on this blog. Thanks for reading! -Kylie

How to Start Cooking and Baking

Like I said in my last post, you can really start baking and cooking at any age. All you really need to know how to do is how to put your mind to it. During the weekend I usually have a lot of spare time to put my mind on big or just small projects. One weekend I attempted to create a cake and even make my own frosting! It was buttercream frosting and it was delicious! But, my sisters added way too much baking powder and the cake was a mess! It got all over the oven, and burned just about everybodys hands and even arms. The next sort of traumatizing experience is with cooking. I was making spaghetti and this is the first time I ever got burned. I was letting the water boil for a little bit and accidentally let it boil for one too many minutes. It started to bubble all over me and soon enough I was covered with burns from head to toe. Without even telling my parents! They didn't find out until they started to notice blisters all over my body! So what that is trying to prove is to make sure and have parent supervision for starters. But, all this is, is to give you guys inspiration from my personal experiences. And letting you know that after all of those burns and messes, I never let that take me down. I am still cooking and baking today and perfectly healthy and fine. You just follow your dreams and dont ever give up on them because of a blister. -Kylie
