It doesn’t seem possible that you’re retiring!  How did you get to be old enough for that and I am not?!?  Just kidding 😊.   I well remember your first year at Shuey.  You were so excited to work with the students, and yet so nervous as well.  I soon learned, though, that what might appear as nervousness was actually a relentless pursuit of excellence.  You have always been your own worst critic, which is an attribute.  It means that you’re never satisfied with “good enough” and always are striving for self-improvement and the growth of your students.  You have had an admirable career as an educator and have left your mark on many students.  You have also formed strong friendships with your colleagues.  This is where you turn the page.  You have three things to do over the next few months: reflect, relax and revel in retirement!  Congratulations!
