I thoroughly recommend this as a bookcase staple for any BEd student looking for a quality 'go to' book when writing, or talking about H&W.

It isn't the cheapest of books -usually around £25.00 - but is a great investment if this is an area of interest!

Good examples throughout. John Hattie has written a series of books on visible learning and Shirley Clarke is the ‘go to’ for anything to do with formative assessment and feedback.

It was originally published in 2011, but the pedagogical approach of Making Thinking Visible (MTV) seems to be sweeping local authorities such as Glasgow City and the three Ayrshire Councils in recent years. Probably worth a read to take ideas into placement / into our future careers!
