I really enjoyed speaking clubs with our volunteer Abdellah Hajjaoui! This time was spent with pleasure and I gained some valuable knowledge from these sessions. I didn’t only improve my speaking skills but also learnt more about Moroccan culture and customs and became less shy while speaking. It was a really awesome experience that I am very grateful for!)

These meetings have truly become something special for me. Each of them brings something new — not only in terms of improving my English, but also in discovering more about myself. We discuss important topics, share our opinions, and get to know each other’s cultures and experiences. I especially enjoyed the third meeting, which was dedicated to music. It was very interesting to learn about the participants’ musical tastes, hear their stories, and discover their favorite pieces. The volunteer, Desrie Roux, creates an incredibly warm atmosphere where you feel encouraged to speak, listen, and learn. These conversations are inspiring; they develop critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and, most importantly, self-confidence. After each meeting, I feel motivated to continue learning English and grateful to be part of this process.

These meetings are simply amazing. Always interesting and fun. These meetings are simply amazing. It's always interesting and fun, I wish there were more of them. I would like to thank Ziyou Wang for volunteering his time to help me practice English. Our conversations were useful and gave me a chance to improve my speaking skills in a relaxed, friendly environment. Ziyou was patient and easy to talk to, which made it easier for me to express myself and gain confidence.

They were a great experience. Ziyou is a kind, patient, and easy-to-understand volunteer. Each meeting was interesting, fun, and helpful. I felt comfortable speaking and was never afraid to make mistakes.

Ziyou always supported and made our conversations engaging. I’ve learned new words, improved my confidence, and really enjoyed the lessons.

Dan Bilko is a really nice man, it was a pleasure to talk to him and he always had interesting stories. The fact that he always explained things well when something was not clear and also the fact that he knows a little Ukrainian is awesome! Mamina joined the Speaking Club for the first time, and I really liked it. Her presentations were bright and interesting. We talked about clothes, food, and different places. My name is Iuliia Fedik, and I am a director of Kivertsi Applied Medical College of the Volyn Regional Council.

We really enjoyed being a part of the Speaking Clubs. What we liked most was the friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to practice real English conversations. A highlight for us was learning about different cultures and sharing opinions in a fun and relaxed way.

A huge thank you to Sandra from Canada for her amazing work and great preparation for each lesson – her positive energy and support made every session special!

To make the experience even better, maybe we could have more interactive activities or small group discussions to help everyone speak more confidently.

We are deeply grateful to Tyrone Juma for his incredible contribution to our learning community. His openness, kindness, and genuine interest in Ukrainian culture have inspired both our students and teachers.
