         <description><![CDATA[<p>Spartan hoplites used a panoply of bronze armour and an iron tipped spear, fighting in a dense formation called a phalanx. Hoplites were heavily armoured Greek infantrymen whose primary weapons were the long thrusting spear(dory) and the large round shield (aspis or hoplon).</p>]]></description>

Overall Sparta was more significant because of their military strengths and discipline and women freedom. Today the trait of militarian focus is still impactfull.</p>]]></description>
