When I was in secondary school, I had a project where I had to be a leader. Unfortunately, I had 2 group members who couldn't get along. One was my an overachiever while the other was hated by everyone since he didn't do work. How I resolved it was similar to how parents dealt with children. I made them sit down and sit between them as a literal middleman.

After my O levels, I went to work in an auditing company since my mom was an accountant and gave me many tips. There was one guy who was European and was very gay and would hug and kiss me on the cheek which made me uncomfortable. I almost reported to Human Resources but my mom told me to talk with him. When I confronted him, he was shocked since it was only natural where he was from.
After that, we no longer talked.

There are 5 Characters involved
During secondary school, I had a co-curricular activity where me and CCA member had to set up a tent in a set amount of time. We had to use the knowledge we acquired in previous CCA sessions. Some of my group members did not revise on the techniques used to set up the tent. This led to many of them being clueless and doing nothing. The majority of the work had to be left to a few people who knew what to do. This led to the people doing the work being angry at those who were slacking. This caused a lot of arguments in the group. In the end , we were not able to set up the tent within the time limit and got scolded by the teacher. The issue with the group was the lack of communication in assigning the work and the lack of initiative of some members in contributing to the effort.

Strategy used to resolve the issue:
Once the CCA session was over, the CCA member more knowledgeable in sent tips on a Whatsapp group for those who were clueless in how to set up a tent. In the next CCA session, we had to set up the tent within the same time limit. We were able to allocate the work evenly between the CCA members and coordinate the setting up of the tent.
In the end, we were able to complete the task int the given time.

There are five character involved
When I was Secondary One, I had a project where we had to perform a skit that we plan to the teachers. The project replaces the semester exam. Our groups were assigned by the teacher. When we were doing the project and coming up with ideas, some group members were not participating in the discussion. They were not motivated to contribute to the project as they were not working with their friends. The issue in this scenario is that there was no expectation set on each individual members of the group thus some group members are motivated to contribute to the project.

During the long break after O Levels, my sister introduced me to work at playmade@tampines. During the first few weeks, every thing was going smooth. until one day, when i came back from my lunch break, my sister told me that one of my co workers was talking behind my back when i was out eating. My sister told me she said that i was slow when im working. upon hearing that, i did try to put those comment behind me, but it still kind of bother me even after a few days after that happened. In the end, i left that job and my friend introduced me to another job, over there. the staff were super friendly, they dont even get mad when i screwed things up.

During my time in ns there's was a team bonding session, they called it team bonding team learning (TBTL) this session is the help us bond with each other and set a goal for us. But because more of us are having different role , most of our ideas clash with one another and cause arguments. because of that we couldn't do our goal planning. There was too many conflicts between, so we use anonymous chat to start settings goals together, this way people won't feel against as no one knows who wrote what in the chat. subsequently , we move the TBTL session to smaller group as having a big group causes conflict, since we stay in a bunk, it become a bunk-level TBTL session, at least we were closer together and able to get our goals easier.

during semester 1.1 in TP, we had a module called Global studies, I was in a group of 5 with my fellow classmate, we were doing video recording and power point slides for out presentation. one of our team member failed the module and joined the group but she don't do anything when asked to do. she would always start problem within the group. during our video recording she would always come late and demand to leave early, as for power point slides, she did not do a single thing except editing her name into the slides. it was so annoying that the group will get pulled down because of her selfishness. in the end during peer evaluation, most of the group member marked her down as she was just USELESS.

Characters (Betty, Susie, John)

In this project team, there was someone who is overconfident called Betty. When they discussed about project ideas, she had never hesitated to bring up her ideas. Moreover, she wanted her teammates to use her idea on their project. Whenever they are discussing problems and strategies for assigned project, she never wanted to listen the other members’ opinions carefully and sometimes she wanted to end the meeting early after she talked her viewpoints. Betty mostly discussed about the project on how she wants to do with her best friend, Susie who was the group leader. However, she never care about the another member, John, who was quiet and introvert. Therefore, he sometimes got in trouble with communication when they do the group project. Sometimes, he is really scared and shy to communicate with the other members or to describe his opinion. The leader and other members never asked his idea or his thoughts on how he viewed their project. Therefore, their project didn’t finished smoothly because they lack unity in their group.

To solve this conflict , the leader need to listen John’s feeling or thought and give him a chance to talk about his opinion or solution .

Characters (Emily, Jack, Isabella)

The manager assigned the interior design project for a new home to a group which included three employees who are Emily, Jack, and Isabella. Among them, Emily was the group leader who had never arrived on time. She was always late about 15 minutes after the meeting had started. Then, one of the members told her not to be late again in high tone with angry expression. But Emily did not care at all. Another member, Jack, was a very quiet person and he did not want to involve in this argument which he could have conciliated this situation. The manager also never check how’s the group condition or what are the progression on the project .

First of all, they need to stop arguing, calm down and accept the reality of conflict. Next, come up with the plan to deal with this problem, for example to figure out this problem of an employee being unpunctual , if they cannot solve that problem within each other, they need to inform to their manager and he will arrange a private meeting with that employee to discuss the issue.
