I don't think I have the extent of knowledge I would like to to speak on the current political system.

that the system we are living in is unfair and there should not be people who have nothing and others who could buy an entire island

I think I swallow when I want to call people uneducated when they make a claim out of ignorance

Also, I do feel uneducated when I speak on certain topics

I think that anger can be a positive thing, I think it means you care enough about something to be angry about it.

I don't really get angry, I get hurt or upset.

I think the most productive thing to do with anger is channeling it into something to change your anger.

What of Alice Walker's work would you put into your own work??

I would want to channel how she develops deep characters with many layers. I think her characters are super unique and play into different stereotypes in a super unique way.

It shows how Morrison’s life and work are made of many layers

It reflects the film’s message about embracing complexity and telling full, rich stories, especially about Black life.

I loved reading so so so much and my family greatly encouraged it.

Reading a book that a woman wrote about her experience during the Holocaust, and how powerful that was. I realized how much emotion books were able to convey.
