They are now ready for their voyage with the strength and guidance they need. Another example is Gandalf. He is pictured as God. He does all he can to guide and protect the fellowship and puts his life on the line for all them (God the Son). The last example I see is the story of the ring. The ring as a very long backstory just like Catholicism does.
