A Life Inside My Mind (Sharpie Art Exploratory)

Medium: Sharpie, paper , pencil

Measurement: 25 x 19
I chose to do a sketch about what’s in my mind because I wanted to express my thoughts in drawings. Putting three main things into multiple sketches in my mind, that symbolizes much more than just one of those main things. Using a pencil to sketch it out first, then a black and red sharpie to outline what to make stand out the most. The Elements of Art are shape, space, color, and texture. The Principles of Design are balance, emphasis, movement, rhythm, and variety. I got inspired to do this sketch because it reminds me of what I can bring out through art.

Medium: Watercolor
Measurements: 8x8
This piece of artwork came as an inspiration from the magazine we were told to find and transform into 4x4. Then into a 8x8 piece, creating the image of the magazine become unrecognizable. I choosed this specific piece because it wasn’t specific enough to tell what this piece was suppose to be and it wasn’t as complicated to work with. Involving different watercolor techniques using three divergent colors while illustrating the dominance , subdominant , and subordinate in our artwork. The Elements of Art I involved are line, color, shape, and texture. As for
The Principal of Design I involved are balance, emphasis, pattern, repetition, and variety. Ending up my artwork different than the actually image from the magazine.

Medium: Acrylic paint
My artwork had to do with L.A, creating a topic and turning it into a mural. Making my artwork related to art in L.A . Not the art we see on walls or posters but the art that oneself can bring out by tranforming it into the art it is created into. I involved specific details to give out clues about my artwork in how it is related with L.A or by what is seen can mean. The Elements of Art involved in my artwork are color, line, shape, and space. On like for The Principles Of Design involved are balance, emphasis, rhythm, movement, proportion, and variety. As I am interpreting a different point of view of what art can also be , not just with a pencil , paint, or ect, but more than some may think. Making it important to a few people because there is more towards art, not just in L.A but around the world.

Medium: Watercolor
Measurements: 12x18
L.A is what my artwork is representing, but mostly the people. I got my inspiration by a light bulb, as to tranforming it into something more. Mostly everyone will have an idea or a thought in their mind which that is where my idea towards my artwork comes in. When it comes to ones thoughts there is no mistakes or errors but "Happy Little Accidents"-Bob Ross. Which made me want to include a few details in my artwork to show and tell a message behind the my piece I transformed into. Which is that in every person no matter if they are from L.A but in general, each person has a part in them that is creative and should express it within themselves. As The Elements of Art involved would be color, line, shape, and space within my artwork. As well for The Principles Of Design included are balance, emphasis, movement, rhythm, repetition, and variety.
( A fun fact about this project is that I wasn't really thinking that this would me my finish results because I had messed up with the curved lines and the background wasn't suppose to be black but I added it to cover a few spots that weren't suppose to end up there in the first place. So I decided to add black and I actually liked how it turned out as my finish result because it made this unusual light bulb standout more.)

Views (Impressionism Painting)

Medium: Acrylic paint
Measurements:
When view came to my mind I thought of the golden bridge , a peaceful, relaxing view I want to experience in person. Ever since I was in middle school I always wanted to go sit in a high hill where I would be able to see the golden bridge, but mostly during the night because you can just star up at the sky as well and feel the fresh air. An this made me want to create the view I would have in mind into an impressionist art work. The process was not hard but easy to me, but i did take my time painting my art piece because I wanted to catch every detail i had in mind. Which the whole art complete has a symbolic meaning towards my childhood dream to experience. As I included a few Elements of Design such as line on the bridge, color within my whole artwork put together, and as well for space between the different paintings involved. as for the Principles of Design balance, emphasis, unity, and variety is included in my impressionist art work.

Nature Itself (Expressionism Painting)

Medium: Spray paint, acrylic paint
Measurements: 48x48
This art piece is based on expressionism, involving graffiti art. As I question my client her likes and preferences , I created a view of nature because nature has a relaxing view. Which is what I have involved, with buildings , mountains, and leaves from a tree , adding my own creativity into it as well. As it is shown in my painting the leaves are red, which my be unusual because when we think of leaves we mostly see them green. Well I changed it up on purpose just to give my clients painting a different view. My art piece wasn’t difficult as I thought it was going to be but it was a process creating a 48x48 painting with the use of tap, spray cans and paint. But the important part towards it all is to have fun and enjoy it while creating something new. As for the Elements of Art I included lines towards the black buildings , as well for shape on both buildings and mountains, and space in between of it all plus the red bright colored leaves. For Principle of Design I included balance towards my whole art piece as well for emphasis, repetition on the buildings and mountains, rhythm, unity, and also variety. As I completed my clients preference in one piece.

Medium: acrylic paint
Measurements:
My project is about women empowerment towards their body figure. I choose this topic for my art piece because not many women feel the same way, such as them not feeling "pretty" enough or "beautiful" enough. Which females shouldn't have to be feeling that way about themselves because even if they are different from the inside or out, each women is unique in their own way. An that is what I am trying to send out as a message in my painting to females all around the world. To love their bodies and feel confident about it and yourself. As I include Elements of Art such as the lines for the different shapes,as well for form within those shapes. As for the Principles of Design balance is involved with the use of red color indicating the feminist empowerment towards the flower painted and the word "Confidence". Also emphasis on the flower and word , variety, and unity towards the whole black background
