I think that the elder would greatly benefit from some emotional support. I think that she has lost a lot of people in her life, including her husband really recently. It takes a toll on people's mental health aspect of their life. Although she seems like a healthy individual physically, she may be struggling mentally with all of the loss she has dealt with. I will definitely follow-up to the interview to provide emotional support. People always need to know someone is there to listen to them.

I think that her responses were important in understanding the need for a healthy lifestyle. This activity showed me that not all elders have to experience a hard time at age 73, like her. This interview opened my mind on elders by encouraging healthy lifestyles early on in life. This allows me to provide education on the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyles, but also understanding that not all elders experience their life this health.
