The Gameboy was released  in 1989. The team who created the Gameboy was also the the same team who released  systems such as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES see above) and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was sometimes bundled with the game Tetris.

I have many fond memories of this console, as it was the first console I ever had. Earlier Wiis had the feature of play games from a entirely different system The Gamecube (I have one of those) which I believe is a unique feature.

The system was designed as a successor to the N64. It used a mini dvd storage platform, the discs were about the third of the size of a persons hand. One feature of the gamecube was the fact you could connect a Gameboy Advanced to the system.
