"Fake news" refers to false or misleading information presented as factual news or journalism.

Analysis : This quote underscores how falsehoods and lies can swiftly gain traction in the world, often spreading rapidly through various means like social media, sensationalism, or gossip. In contrast, the truth, which requires careful verification and fact-checking, is depicted as slower in its dissemination, taking the time to prepare itself. It serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges posed by the rapid spread of misinformation, especially in our digital age. It urges individuals to be critical thinkers, to question the accuracy of information encountered, and to rely on trustworthy sources, emphasizing the importance of media literacy and responsible journalism in navigating a world where falsehoods can take root and circulate before the truth has a chance to catch up.

Yellow journalism was a type of sensationalist and often exaggerated reporting used in newspapers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It aimed to increase circulation and profits by providing attention-grabbing stories. While it often sacrificed accuracy for sensationalism, it typically involved stories about real events and issues. The front page of the "USS MAINE DESTRUCTION" (English Sparks P.16) is a great illustration of "yellow journalism".
