QUESTION 1 (a)MATERIAL C. Based on the results, the distance traveled by block C is the furthest compared to other blocks and the frictional force acting between the block with material c and the surface of the ramp is the least.

(b) Material B. The block traveled on the surface with B traveled the least distance which means that the amount of frictional force acting between the block and the surface of the ground is the most,thus, the person would not slip and fall off the bath tub when he/she steps on the bath mat.

Q2(b)Spring p. The amount of elastic spring force acting on the boy was more than spring Q than in spring P. Thus spring P would extend more and would allow the trampoline to be more elastic, so the trampoline would be bouncier.

benefits of using spring q: When a heavier person plays the trampoline, spring q would not break easily compared to spring P as it extends lesser.
2.The trampoline would be safer to play with and would not be dangerous to play when it extends so much that it launches the person playing it into the air.

(b) Material B. The bath mat should reduce friction to prevent the person in the bath tub to slip and fall, so it has to a rough material. Since material B travelled the least distance, so it is the roughest material among the other materials.

Question 2:
(a)As the mass of the load increases, the extension of spring P also increases.
(b) Spring P. As the mass of the load increases, the extension of the spring should increase more, so that the trampoline would be bouncier. Since spring P extended more when both springs P and Q were the same mass, spring P is more suitable to be used as the spring in the trampoline.
