Guimarães is considered the birthplace of Portugal because it was here that Afonso Henriques, who would become Portugal's first king, was born.

Associated with the formation and identity of Portugal, the historic center of Guimarães, in the area that used to be within the walls, was classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site based on the values of originality and authenticity with which it was restored. The city still has a harmonious and preserved heritage complex, which can be seen in the graceful iron balconies, granite balconies and porches, stately homes, arches linking narrow streets, floor slabs smoothed by time, towers and cloisters.

The Georgian language is a member of the Kartvelian (South Caucasian) family of languages. It has its own alphabet, which is thought to have evolved about the 5th century, and there are many dialects.

PRESENTATION OF THE REGION

        Sâg commune is located in the south-western part of Sălaj county, ROMANIA, at the contact of the Plopișului Mountains with the Silvania Depression, respectively with the Plopișului Depression.

        With a hilly and mostly wooded relief, with pastures on the edge of the forests, with valleys crossed by rapid rivers typical of the mountainous area, the location of Sâg village is an attraction for trips and outdoor outings, benefiting from very beautiful views of wild places with mostly oak, beech, fir, birch forests and clean air, practically unaffected by any polluting factor. There is a rich hunting fauna composed of wild boars, Carpathian deer, rabbits, wolves, pheasants, foxes.

The village of Sâg has a predominantly agricultural economy where potato and cereal crops are predominant, and animal breeding, especially cattle, is supported by the large share of pastures in the total agricultural land at the level of the commune.

         The school campus in Sâg represents the largest investment in educational infrastructure of Sălaj county, financed from the state budget and from European funds, which was realized through an investment of approximately 5 million euros.

         Spread over an area of ​​1.85 hectares, the Sâg campus has an impressive structure and contains six buildings. One of the buildings has three levels and is composed of 10 classrooms and four laboratories (informatics, physics-chemistry, biology and foreign languages ). The campus includes technological workshops/laboratories, a boarding school for students, studios for teachers, a canteen where students from our educational unit eat, a club and a gym. The latter is the third largest in the county, with an Olympic-sized field, a strength room, a sanitary point and stands.

         This campus can be enjoyed not only by the children from the commune who want to study at the Sâg Vocational School, but also by those from the surrounding area.
