Why do people nowadays mostly like pop music?

What makes pop music what it is?

- variety of movements are creative 

- when the songs go fast, we go fast - movements synchronise with the change in tempo of music: showed clearly how our group could hear the phrasing of the music (movements changed based on phrasing) 

- actions got more fierce with intensity of music 

- starting could have been better: could have used more actions to demonstrate the minute and delicacy of the texture of the music (sitting down instead of standing up)

1. Is Despacito any less ‘legit’ when played in the various versions? Why?
I think that the different versions of Despacito each has its own uniqueness and it still sounds like Despacito so I don’t think Despacito became any less ‘legit’ 

2. Which version do you like best? Why?
I like the cello version the best. It is very different from the original Despacito which is very loud and I prefer the rather calm and soothing one which is the cello version. 

3. Does Despacito become non-western music when played with ethnic instruments? Why?
I think it does become non-western music when played with ethnic instruments as the ethnic instruments makes the music more cultural and it actually changes the style of the music and how it sounds like. 

4. What is crucial to the style of a piece of music? (melody/ accompaniment /rhythm/ etc?)
I think the melody and rhythm is crucial to the style of music. They are the main elements of music and it affects the style of a piece greatly. 

5. Create a rhythmic accompaniment to the tune of Despacito. Perform the accompaniment rhythm with the recording of Despacito. 
I can use the drums to create a rhythmic accompaniment to the tune of Despacito. The beating of the drums can help to create the beats of the music.

I explore one way of manipulating the elements to develop a solution that is superficially developed, lacking in detail. I made only one prototype and did not test and/or improve it.
