For the purpose of survival, we believe we should raise minimum wage to benefit the economy including everyone. The opposing side may claim that raising minimum wage would cause some employees to lose their job. Although this may be true, I feel that the more pay there is for the workers, the more they can spend on, possibly the company they work for-boosting businesses.

Understanding that, adults all over the world are struggling to earn enough money just for their housing is simple. We know what we should do. Instead of relying on government benefits, we should help everyone by raising minimum wage. Overall, raising minimum wage has many positive results. Some of these include ending poverty and starvation-boosting the economy.

Granted that, we raise minimum wage, people are able to earn more money for a living. According to the article, "Newsela minimum wage," the article states that an analysis in 2014 found that raising the minimum wage to $10.10 nation wide would lift 900,000 people out of poverty, while eliminating 500,000 low-income jobs. This evidence shows that minimum wage does not provide enough pay overall, for their living in their everyday lives and that we need to raise minimum wage.

Raising minimum wage would reduce government welfare spending. Claimed by the article, "PRO/CON" minimum wage," the government wouldn't spend so much money to benefit low-income people if they could earn more money. This evidence shows us that raising minimum wage would benefit everyone. In this case, the government would have more money to spend on different things. For instance, we could pay back money we owe to China.

In hope that, parents earn more money, their kids don't have to drop out to help out the family and focus on their education-boosting their chance of employment to high-paying jobs they want. Based on the statistics from a data analysis from U.S. Department of Education, the statistics show that the more education a student gets, the income they earn on average. Given of what we are provided, we concluded that an average student with a 4 year degree college would earn $46,930 a year. On the other hand, a high school drop out would earn $19,540 year on average.
