Unfortunately, that is somewhat true. However, pupils who learn grammar end up forgetting many of the rules anyway. Therefore, in our opinion, all approaches that put emphasis on communication and vocabulary result in a better outcome regarding language teaching.

Places less emphasis on conscious grammar study, and more emphasis on learning vocabulary. Vocabulary is the heart of the language, rather than grammar.
