         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sojourner Truth was born in Rifton, NY around 1797.<br>&nbsp;She Was born a slave and owned by a man named Charles Hardenbergh. She was one of twelve children, she was traumatized by the others being sold. When she was nine Charles died and she was sold to a cruel farmer named John Neely but her father arranged for to be sold to an innkeeper but was sold three times in one year. Her new enslaver was named John Dumont which was a prosperous farmer and made her work in the fields and in the house which made her grow big and strong.</div>]]></description>
