The graph that best illustrates our data is the histogram. The histogram has a better indication of how spread out the data is. The line graph can be harder to read because there are sections of the data that are zero. For example our data has gaps from five to nine and then again from eleven to twenty-nine. These gaps make the line graph hard to read because you have to try to find the data you need, while also trying to figure out where the zeros stop.

The question we chose, "How often do you go home every month", was chosen because it is universal to our population. In other words, it will apply in some way to all of the people we surveyed and sampled from. We expected relatively low numbers because of people's inability or lack of desire to go home. We did have some unexpected numbers, due to some commuters that go home every day. They were our outliers.

Some of the graphs have a better representation of the gaps in the data then the others. The histogram and the line graph clearly show the gaps that are in data. The pie chart on the other hand did not do a good job of showing the data because all of the numbers that were zero did not show up on the pie chart. There were numbers along the bottom of the chart, and it was hard to see which numbers went in the chart and which did not. The line graph and the histogram also show the clusters of data better than the pie chart because the groups of data can be seen better.

For results, we had a mean of 3.902 and a median of 2. This shows us the middle of the data we collected. The mode however, was 0, and it shows us what data point had the most amount of people answer that way. There were outliers, due to commuters, that made the range 30 because 0 was our lowest number, and 30 was our highest. The data is clustered in the low numbers, but their is some spread due to the outliers.
