There are so many teachers, especially professors, that had immense influence on how I perceive myself, the world, and education. But if it hadn't for this particular professor I met in college, I wouldn't have become the Bill that I am today. His name is John, and he's a teacher I emulate a ton. He's innovative, passionate yet laid back in a hilarious way, and most importantly very caring especially to me. He saw something in me that I never see in myself and always believed in my ability to thrive, even urging me to become a professor like himself one day in the future. I picked up his humor and approach to teaching as well as this laid-back attitude here and there now that I'm working as an English teacher myself.
