Also, your study should be completed a week or more before the defense so you know the study. In sampling technique, purposive sampling is the technique that we use. This helps us to focus on our study. We choose the one-on-one interview with self administered questionnaires to blend with the sampling technique. The technique and instrument can help us focus on the specific interest of our study.

One observation is the significance of selecting the appropriate approach in accordance with the goals of the research. In our sampling technique we use purposive sampling because the researchers want to get a specific, detailed answers from the respondents. Also, the instrument that we will use is the one-on-one interview because this method allows researchers to ask follow-up questions. In general, one-on-one interviews give researchers comprehensive information that might not be obtained by focus groups or surveys, among other techniques.

Our research deals with a relevant and timely issue, focusing on the specific difficulties faced by Calamba resort owners during the COVID-19 pandemic. This allows for a deep dive into their experiences. A purposive sampling technique can be effective for this study because it allows you to target resort owners who have directly experienced the hardships caused by the pandemic. This ensures rich and relevant data. And the purposive method is that we use sampling techniques because we can easily find the resort owners who have experienced hardships caused by the pandemic. And the instrument we used for that was interviewing them.

For me, our research defense makes me nervous and also happy. Nervous because I don't know about the thoughts of the panelists about our research, we don't know if it's wrong or not. Happy because even tho we have a little mistakes in our research, we also gained knowledge that the panelists gaves us, so that we can improve more our research. Sampling technique helps us to gather more data about our study. Although the panelists said that, there's a little unimportant info in our sampling technique that doesn't need to put in the sampling technique. They gave us a knowledge tip about what should we put in the sampling method. And also, we have a good and smart leader that can handle us and can really do our research well, we're just her back up. I believe that we all did our best in our research. Overall, I'm happy in our research defense.

And make sure the week before the defense your research paper is all good so you have a week to study your paper. In this way, it will help you to be more knowledgeable and ready every time the panelists ask you a question. In our research paper, we use the snowball method because LGBTQ+ is a very sensitive topic, so we have to be very careful in selecting our respondents. Also, we chose a one-on-one interview so that the respondents feel more comfortable sharing their experiences and opinions as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Instrument we use was semi-structured interviews because it gathers in-depth insights and perspectives from participants, and also offers flexibility, allowing for probing questions and follow-ups, which helps the researchers explore the participant's responses. In when defending your research one must be prepared, organized, and ready to answer any questions that might give to us but to also be calm in presenting your research defense to let them see you have confidence to your research.

At our research defense, I got the chance to present our results along with proving the authenticity and relevance of my research. Precisely, it was a challenging yet enjoyable task that made me illustrate the effort I had dedicated to our studies.

One of the things about our research that I thought about when I was defending myself was the sampling technique that was used. We used purposive sample procedure to select individuals who met certain criteria for which they were chosen as our participants in our research. It allowed me to identify people who had what it takes to know much about the research topic thus; I used purposeful sampling method.

As we thought over the method, we understood how necessary it was to be cautious while picking people who could give us valuable opinions or views. Using purposive sampling technique allowed us to get information from persons that best covered the scope of our study.

Besides that, the defense entailed looking into restrictions that a particular method of sampling had. As much as purposive sampling was useful in focusing on very specific cases of interest, it led to introduction of bias hence compromising on generalization. These constraints were accepted and countered by making a deliberate effort towards transparency in how participants were selected as well as carrying out an extensive data analysis.

When I had a chance to reflect on the effectiveness of the sampling technique used in my research defense, I found out its justifications, its pros in acquiring related information and the challenges that required solutions. In this review, I was able to demonstrate my grasp of the research procedures as well as critiquing what was done in my study’s implementation.

I have reflected on many aspects of our research, specifically when the title defense happened. When we first did our research, I thought it would be easy and go smoothly since I experienced doing defense during my 10th-grade days. Little did I know that this year was different. I realized that research is not just something you’re going to look up on the web and paste on a document; you need to learn and make it your main goal to make that research successful because you have a purpose for doing that study and that study has a significant impact on you and maybe others. Additionally, when our title defense happened, I thought it would be easy, so I didn’t prepare heavily, but yet again, I was proven wrong. Although we defended our research, major revisions were required. By then, I realized that it’s not something to take lightly, and any outcome, whether negative or positive, might happen. I learned from this experience that you must do your research from the heart, not just because it's assigned to you, to be able to make it successful.

We aim to use the "purposive sampling method" as our sampling technique since the individuals we are searching for possess unique and uncommon personalities and beliefs. This guarantees that the data we collect for our study will be relevant, significant, and detailed. Finally, in order to get accurate and comprehensive data, we will conduct one-on-one interviews with participants. This will help them feel more comfortable discussing their opinions, experiences, and beliefs.

She uttered the words that shattered our hopes and dreams in an instant. She said that our research title was quantitative and was not suitable for our strand. We were taken aback by her comments, and we couldn't believe what was happening. We thought that we could just make some minor tweaks to our title, but she made it clear that it was not acceptable.

At that moment, a wave of sadness and frustration overtake me. I knew that my groupmates and I had done our best, and we had put our heart and soul into presenting our work effectively. However, it seemed that all our efforts were in vain. We were sad and disappointed, and it was difficult to accept that we had failed to impress the panel.

After the defense, sobrang lungkot ko sir as in tas next day sportsfest ay teh ‘di nag enjoy kasi nanghihinayang pa rin ako sa research sir HAHAHAHAHHAHABAHWUSUWISH. When I thought about what happened, I realized that it all had a purpose. Maybe the tough times we faced were meant to help us become better. The people guiding us believed we had the potential to do great things. They let us change our title and helped us along the way. I'm grateful to all of them, especially to you, sir. You helped us a lot, and I thank you for it.

On the research defense, we, the researchers, have different perspectives and experienced difficult situations. As soon as our defense was finished, I realized several things. Being specific and well knowledgeable about your research is the best thing to acquire before the defense. Showing preparedness, confidence, and as well as presenting with passion. I learnt to be wise and careful for researching such as checking if it is one sided and reliable. I'm so proud grateful for the research team that I belong, despite of the worries and obstacles, we still manage to get back on our feet and didn't stop the work. They are not that all enlightened about research but they fulfill their roles. When I reflected on our research's sampling, purposive sampling, I think it is still the best which fits our sampling technique for the research. For who are the most experienced and knowledgeable are the ones who can provide beneficial answers to help with the goal and objectives of the research.

For me, I was nervous about our title defense since I don't know what the panelists would say to us and I don't have any experience at it. But even if I was nervous, I'm a little bit excited about what could happen or if we do our research well. My part is the sampling method and the best method that works for our research is the purposive sampling because it’s best suited for a qualitative research. Using a non-probability sampling approach, cases or people are chosen according to specific characteristics that are important to the study's goal. This allows us to handpick our respondents that has a specific characteristic that the thesis needs. This method is frequently applied when researchers want to study a particular population or group with particular information, experiences, or characteristics. I understand and realized that we need to work more and some things need to change but that’s a part of the process, it’s common to make mistakes and it's important that we fix and make it better.

We had our Research Title defense last month of May. honestly during those times, i really don't know what to feel or what do in that moment. Nervous. Scared. Anxious. Doubtful. Excitement. or whatever feelings may comes first to me. I had so much emotions running through my heart and brain that time, that i cannot distinguished because i really don't know what to feel at any moment. Talking infront of our panels who are professionals, experts, or veterans and genius in their field of research defending our study, who among us won't get totally scared and nervous? The day before our Defense was quite challenging for us, me and my group decided to have mock defense in my member's house to practice the possible situations within our defense. As I've said, the day of our defense was a supreme challenge for us, test of faith, patience and survival. What's running through my mind that time was the reality that we need to complete to finished and clutch this defense so we have to rest after all. Our defense started after lunch onwards basically afternoon, I must say it went well. Smoothly and Fast as I expect from having chaos in presenting. Our panelist was in a lil good mood so we get along a little bit, we also get a small gisa heheheheh but we answer it naman afterwards so yeah luckily we need to revised our paper minor lng since some of our panelist loved our title hehehehe so they revised it on their own and give us some suggestions about the other parts of our research. After our defense my overall realizations is, try to be calm and avoid being nervous because if your panelists saw and feel that your being scared or nervous you are the one that they will go to go target since you cannot express your own thoughts when you're feeling nervous and scared, also the realizations of in our paper is DO NOT CRAM YOUR RESEARCH PAPER, as much as possible do it on time because you will never know the bad outcome if your output is being crammed. Lastly, the realizations in our sampling technique is it should be not a critical ease sampling technique since our study is not that confidential or private topic so that panelists decided to remove that and stay with the purposive sampling technique for us to know the different experiences of our respondents within our research study. To all of our panelists, we are grateful to have you in our first research defense because you guys guide and support our skills and abilities also to our pr adviser, thankful for your support and believing that we can do this at kakayanin, lagi.

During the defense kinabahan ako slight lang but mostly excited kase first time mag defense. As i observe the panelist while presenting i notice that my legs were trembling. We at least presented the backround of our study. The panelist looked bored and started to distract themselves with their phone or they are communicating to another panelist. At that moment i can't feel at ease and began to question myself "what am i doing?". For the panelist question my mind suddenly stop for a second and as the panelist clarify the question. I was able to answer the panelist question then observe the panelist again.

I was super nervous because this was my first time doing defense, and I just realized that I should always be ready when dealing with things like this and while we're defense, I'm feeling a little nervous because while we're in there, the progress of our research is going well, the result is okay in the end and there's only a little revision while we're defending, we're nervous because one of our panelists was eager to ask while the other panelists were nonchalant. This sampling is also one of the things that helped us to develop our research, we can use it to get more different information, our researcher defense is a big lesson for us and this is also the reason for us to be even more ready for such activities.

Having a defense is one of the most important thing to measure our knowledge and skills in doing and protecting the study we have made, here we expand our cognitive thinking and awareness so that we can answer the follow-up questions. Our experience of having a research defense is full of exciting because it is intended there the ideas and we will present the answers that we are also looking for, we were a little nervous at first especially when we had not been screened, everyone told us that the matters are on us when we don't know what to answer but with the help of the panelist it was resolved our study even with a little revision. In sampling technique, since we are conducting qualitative research, we used purposive sampling since we think that it is one of the applicable technique while gathering the data because it aims to select the participants depending on what characteristics we are looking for and it will gather self-experience and perception of a person because it is based on real life concept that they have experienced.

It was a hot day during our research title defense. The humid temperature didn't help that most of us were feeling nervous and worried because our group was the first one to present. Our presentation went somehow well, despite the fact that we only had ten minutes to present it. We were able to effectively deliver our research. After that, our panelists gave us criticism and feedbacks on how to improve our study further, and some tips on how to revise it. While having stated the variables in our title was too common, or rather, common knowledge, we did not let it fully discourage us(doubt). The panelists helped us understand our actual objectives and the parts we should focus on to increase the impact of the study. Additionally, we had some realizations and learned new perspectives, or rather, the panelists', on our research topic that we hadn't even consider before.

Furthermore, our sampling method was purposive sampling, which refers to selecting specific respondents based on the criteria given by the researchers. Through the use of this technique, our researchers will be able to identify individuals who are most suitable for answering our research question and give us detailed information and insights, ensuring the quality and relevance of our study.

During our Research Defense, we used purposive sampling in our study to select Grade 12 students from various strands at STI Calamba. This approach allowed us to deliberately choose participants based on specific criteria, such as their involvement in prototype innovations, their experiences, challenges, ensuring that we captured diverse perspectives relevant to our research objectives. Through this sampling technique, we realized the importance of targeting individuals who could provide insights into the experiences in their creation or their learning outcomes of prototype innovations, enhancing the depth and relevance of our study.

Despite feeling quite nervous during the research presentation, especially when we ran out of time on presenting some slides in Chapter 1. We managed to address all panelist questions effectively, resulting in minor revisions rather than a complete rejection of our work. This experience taught us the importance of time management and being prepared for unexpected challenges during presentations. Thankfully, the minor revisions needed were manageable, and the research wasn't rejected.

If we're going to relate online games and research defense, we could definitely that research defense is one of the ''Bosses'' when it comes to someone's academic journey. With that being said, we all do have our own fair share of experiences and I'm more than willing to share my own.

First of all, I was a bit nervous as this is my first time defending a research as when I was in junior high, we not to have a research defense because the school year is almost over, back to the main topic as this is my first time having a research defense I was having a little bit hard time to adjust as I'm not used to this kind of activity but luckily I did despite of all of the challenges I faced throughout our journey.

Though this wouldn't be possible without the guidance of other faculty members and our teachers. They help us by providing insights on how we're supposed to conduit our research and the proper ethics in doing so, especially when it comes to interviewing our respondents, they told us that we should use purposive sampling as our sampling technique as this will enable us researchers to gather more detailed and specific data from the respondents. Furthermore, we also use semi structured interview and one-on-one interview as this will allow us to ask to follow up questionnaires which will help us gather more data and insights from our respondents rather than a broad statement and with the help of semi structured interview, we we're able to gather data without them having to copy answer from other respondents

and it allows for open-ended responses from participants for more in-depth information. Ultimately, with the help of those two it allows us researchers to gather more data and insight from our respondents more effectively.

It’s about demonstrating a deep comprehension of these methods implications on the research outcomes and justifying the chosen approach. This reflection highlights the importance of sampling techniques in research and the need for researchers to thoroughly understand and justify their chosen methods, it’s evident that the choice and application of methods are fundamental to the success of a study.

Unfortunately, our group didn't achieve the success we were hoping for in defending our title. I was deeply disappointed, considering all my members' efforts and sacrifices to accomplish this study. During the defense, nerves and fear got the best of us. Only after the defense did ideas begin to come to our mind, ones we wished we had said during the defense. One valuable lesson from this experience is the importance of remaining calm under pressure as our anxiety hinders our ability to come up with ideas, leaving us to lose confidence and tremble in our positions. Moreover, we consider these difficulties as setbacks and not a failure, as they're opportunities to grow and improve. The purposive sampling method helped in picking the participants for research with certain criteria to meet. This helped manage the focus for certain groups which the research aims to get data from. By targeting participants who possess the exact characteristics, avoids gathering irrelevant or unhelpful insights, making it easier to interpret and relate the data from one another. But this first defense also helps me, because somehow I can get ready for the next defense again even though we just got rejected in our title defense hahaha. The panelist was also very helpful to us because they told us what was wrong in our research and what should be improved in our research, so thankful for them. I thought doing research was easy, actually when I was in junior high school I was excited to do research, but now (senior high school) it is very difficult to do research (ayoko na, chariz) T^T. So overall nare-realize ko na kailangan talagang mag-study about sa research na ginawa namin para narin for improvements at maging ready na sa susunod na defense. ^^

I observe the panelists, but they do not care about the researches; they only care about our research paper. As time goes by, my nervousness goes away because the panelists, after checking our research paper, are just watching stuff on their phones. Then the q and a part was our most consuming time because one of the panelists suggested creating a new title for us. Our group was hesitating about that, but after a long discussion, we agreed to have a new title. when I go out to the room, I feel joy because we are done.

A research title defense is one of the activities or procedures that every student is required to accomplish. In our research defense, I experienced difficulties during the procedure as it was my first time doing research. I was confused as I don't really have ideas about conducting research, but with the help of my groupmates, I managed to accomplish the tasks given to me properly. The day has come, and our research defense has come. At first, I felt nervous knowing that research defense is really tough seeing other students struggling and claiming that it's one of the biggest nightmares of every student. My nervousness was nadagdagan when I saw and heard that the titles of some groups in other sections were rejected. While preparing, I got shocked kasi turn na namin!! That time, I didn't know what to feel as my emotions were nag halo-halo na, I can't define if I was excited ba or nervous kasi there's a part na my appetite on defending our title increase because of the rejection of the other group. So it's our turn na nga, and we're on the stage of hell na. At first, the run of our presentation was good, we presented it well, but when the gisahan portion came, wala na finish na. Though we managed to answer all of the questions of the panelists, it was still not enough to satisfy them. After the defense, I realized a few things as we received a new title holder award. Studying the entire research paper is the best weapon for the questions that the panelists will throw at us. As we received major revisions, I felt that my passion fired up sa nangyari and the appetite ko na mag success ang research namin is nag increase talaga! But yeah, the lesson that we learned from that rejection is to do the task on time talaga kasi it really hard to cram research talaga, especially when the panelists are strict hehe so ayon, we're aiming right now a perfect research defense for the 4th quarter, NO REVISIONS, NO REJECTIONS!!

So in our research, we used the purposive sampling method as we think that it will really help us find the perfect respondents for our research paper. The purposive method is a sampling method where you will choose respondents based on their characteristics, knowledge, or some other criteria. We chose this because our research paper needs the personal experience and perception of seasoned Math teachers to understand the difficulties of inexperienced teachers in technology and to provide and offer a different method that will help their teaching quality improve and eventually help the learning of the students. So ayon lang po sir, wish us all the best next defense!!!!

On the first day of April, I could not fully express how anxious I was about going to school because as soon as we returned from our one-week vacation for Holy Week, we found ourselves entering a battle to defend our research title. Everyone was busy getting ready to secure a “Research Title Defended”, it would be a shame to have put in all that effort and endured sleepless nights working on chapters one to three, only to end up with a “Research Title Rejected”. That will be painful since it means starting all over again and needing to search for numerous related reviews of literature. For a moment, I was overthinking as it was my first time experiencing an actual research title defense with a panel, so I truly did not know what to expect, especially since we were going into that room without any practice or preparation. All we relied on were our understanding of our research and our confidence that we could defend this title.

The other groups in our section had started their defense presentations. We stood by the door, sneaking glances inside to see how it was going, analyzing their facial expressions to figure out if things were going well or not. Some looked cheerful, while others forced smiles. Since we were the last group scheduled to defend our title, our nerves heightened each time someone exited the room where the defense was happening. As our turn approached, I messaged my brother and a friend who had been in a similar situation, bombarding them with questions like “What do I do?” and “What should I say?”.
While I was pondering and trying to commit things to memory, I failed to notice that another group had already finished their presentation. We asked them questions, but that did not help ease my nervousness; in fact, it made me even more anxious, and I started thinking that there is a high chance that our title will be rejected. But it was too late to revise or start over, so we will just have to face this challenge in life. We were given 10 minutes to present our prepared PowerPoint. I was stuttering because of the nervousness and fear I felt. I wanted to know what the panelists were thinking. Some of them were busy checking our paper, and before we knew it, our 10 minutes were up. We didn't even reach the third chapter to discuss our methodology. Our group decided to use purposive sampling technique for our study because it lets us pick the right participants to get the data we need. We believe that by using this method along with our chosen research instrument, which is a one-on-one interview, we will be able to gather the perspectives and experiences of our chosen participants effectively for this qualitative research.

Everything was going smoothly, and we were answering the questions, even if our responses were a bit repetitive. We tried to find loopholes in the questions thrown at us, and we were able to navigate through them. That is until the panel asked us about the uniqueness of our study, they did not accept our answers. I was getting nervous, racking my brain to think of what to say, but I was coming up empty. I was losing hope at that moment, and we showed them our other titles hoping they would like one, but it was still a no. I could feel that we were close to being rejected, but then Ms. Suarez came in and suggested a new title that was still similar to ours but with a different focus. We were given a new title and minor revisions, so it was not fully rejected but not fully defended either. However, the panel said it was still defended, and there would just be some revisions. We left the room feeling relieved. I cannot quite explain it, but we were glad it was not fully rejected. When we left, our classmates had already gone, and it was already late. Since we were the last group to face the battle, we finished in the afternoon. This experience was truly unforgettable; my emotions were like a roller coaster ride, but all the hard work and sacrifice paid off as we received a "Research Title Defended" with a little bit of "Research Title Offended."

In our defense, I learnt a lot since it's my first time to defend a research. To prepare the defense, me and my group mates gathered to talk about what the flow of our presentation will be. I explained our chapter 3, especially, however on choosing of our respondents during the defense the panelist said it should be the students Misconception not the teachers technique. In our mind, we wanted to know the strategies and techniques of the teachers when they encounter misconceptions, but it was great learning to me and my group mates. Now, all we need to do is revise chapter 3 to change the respondents, and also our chapter 2 since our variables are wrong, we focused on the strategies and techniques instead of misconceptions. Now we learned, we will make it right, try to ask for suggestions from our teachers and we need to learn and memorize our paper to defend it properly on our next defense.

During the day of the title defense, I was very nervous because I didn't know what to expect but our group remained positive as we studied before our turn to defend our title. When we entered the room I felt that I almost forgot everything but tried to remain calm. As we presented, I stuttered and didn't know what to say but my groupmate saved me, and we proceeded to the questions. Almost all of our answers were a miss because they always found a hole in our answers and kept saying that our answers were for quantitative research, at that point, I already knew in my mind that our title would not push through based on the panelist's responses. After that, they asked us what our other titles were, and they liked one of our titles, which revolves around e-bikes. They gave a title suggestion and we kind of don't have an option but just to accept it. At that point, it didn't sink in to me yet I just laughed it off but I realized the hard work we put into that paper but what's done is done. I believe that our rejection has a purpose and can lead us to success.

Our chosen sampling method is a purposive method because it will serve the researchers as an effective method in selecting preferred respondents with relevant experiences of using e-bikes as their mode of transportation.

The defense for title proposal went well. Our ttitle were rejected but still, the defense was good. Before the defense, I was really nervous. I'm afraid because of thinking that I will not be able to figure out how to answer any of the questions that would be asked by the panelist. And if the presentation would be good. The presentation also went well considerig that the panelist weren't that strict when it comes to the presentation, we just explained what was going on or what was stated on the ppt and the explanation's good. We only had 10 minutes to prctically present our whole paper of chapter's 1-3. I thought we won't be able to finish it all but the panelist chose to skip the chapter 2, shortening the presentation. After the said presentation, the panelist starts to ask some questions. Thankfully, our leader was the one answerig the questions, even though technically, I know the answer, but due to the overwhelming pressure that I felt that time, I was unable to speak so I let her speak instead. So the questions that were thrown at us was all answered but unfortunately the title was still rejected due to the fact that out topic was not focusing on the sole limit of our research topic which was STEM field. I was disappointed because a lot of work, both of my groupmates and I, went into that paper just for it to be rejected. But still, it's a good experience and now, I know how a defense would go so I'll be less nervous the next time. But we were told that the next defense which is our final defense would be much more strict that this ttle proposal and would expect much more effort. So that didn't lessen the nervousness I feel.

As per the sampling method we used, we stated that we're using the Purposive Random Sampling, this method is done because we're looking for a specific attributes for a respondent or participant. The sampling method was decided because we just can't take any respondents due to the fact that our research topic specifically stated women who have experienced ender stereotyping. So our respondents accordig to our paper was female STEM students who had experienced gender stereotyping inside the stated field. We also used this method in order to identify how large the group who's experiencig this kind of thing in order to perform a conclusion that was appropriate to address the issue on our paper. The lived experience of the future respondents of or paper will be the basis of the conclusion and in order to prove that the problem is big and in need of solution.

Research defense has gave us—specially me—a roller coaster experience. As someone that wasn't able to do a research project during my junior high school year, it's hard for me due to my lack of experience. The whole time that we're infront of the panelists, I can feel everything all at once because of nervousness. All I could think of during that time was "once this is all done, no matter what the result is, I will buy myself something nice because I deserve it". I can feel the goosebumps in me everytime Sir Aids asks us a question about our research. I'm quite confident to answer some of it but sadly it didn't work out for us 'cause he said that our research is far from our strand. I wanna prove that it isn't because blue light is also count as radiation, and radiation is about physics, so how did it become far from STEM? Well we can't do much about it since two of the panelists agreed that it's not connected to our strand, in the end we just have to start over again. I don't feel that bad because most of us in our section got our titles rejected so atleast we're not alone, but it doesn't take away the fact that all of our efforts just lead to nothing. It is what it is lol. We already learned our lesson so we don't have to do the same mistakes again in the second time around.

We used the purposive sampling for our research since it's the most convenient, and easy for us.

When we were defending our research, I felt nervous especially about our eventual results after defending our research. But I can say that I, as one of the researchers, learned a lot. It's a significant factor that you really need to be prepared for the questions the panelists will ask you, and you need to answer them with confidence. However, I can say that I lacked this because I also worried about my answers to their questions. Furthermore, you should also know your entire study. This is one of the lessons I learned when our defense was over. So, I am gradually learning from the lessons I gained from our research defense.

The sampling technique we used in our study was purposive random sampling. Wherein, we searched for respondents whose specific characteristics or attributes would fit our study. To explain further, the respondents we chose had a purpose in the study. We used this because it's easier, especially if we know someone who could be respondents for our study.

Additionally, our experience in our research defense was a huge help. Many lessons, and many thoughts from the panelists, helped us to better execute our study. Although it's hard to do it by chapters, it's easier now since we already know the flow of our study and how to defend it.

Before anything else begins, our group worked together to finish our paper. The day before our Research Title defense, we go over our paper with the panelists and address any questions they might have. An hour before the defense, we relax and get some chill moments. Now that it is our turn, I was very convinced that our paper would address every concern the panelist had, even if he was still unable to do so because there remained a fundamental flaw that affected the entire work. We knew we tried our hardest to defend the paper, which is why I was still satisfied after we left the room. We are nevertheless disappointed since we know that we worked very hard and exhausted to complete our study paper, and we are naturally disappointed that we were blind to any problems with it. Nevertheless, I am nevertheless appreciative that we contributed in order to be able to act and protect as much as we could. This lesson teaches us to be more proactive, concentrate more on goals, and strive to do the right thing by correcting mistakes in the first place. It also reminds us not to get too comfortable because work is never simple.

I am excited before the defense because it's my first time, and I don't want my nervousness to ruin everything. During the defense, I did make a lot of mistakes, but the panelists taught me how to do things properly. After the defense, I feel so exhausted. I learned a lot on this journey, and I will use this to improve my skills and be better in my next defense. The sampling method in our research paper is a purposive sampling method. We chose this to get specific responses from our respondents that could answer the goal of our study. We pair it with a one-on-one interview with open-ended questions to get an elaborate answer. Overall, all of this works together to strengthen our research.

I felt very anxious since I don't have any experience defending research, and knowing that title defense should come with different titles and there you would defend it, but in STI Calamba we did present the chapters 1 to 3. It was quite nerve-racking, as I was saying that I don't have any experience. I didn't sleep the night before since I was overthinking the outcome, and the nervousness adds on since we are the first group to present or defend our title. I was thankful since it ended well, but the outcomes are a bit underwhelming since the panelists said that we should replace our targeted respondents and also our title, so they suggested that we should just revise our title and the chapters. During the defense, I was quite nervous, so I didn't get to answer most of the questions asked. I could also say that I was not prepared for this, since I was so distracted that I couldn't review our topic. I was also thankful for my group since every time the questions were asked of me, they were there to save my butt. Well, despite the defense being that challenging, it was quite an experience for me. It was a memorable one. Knowing that we just needed to improve our topic and also improve the preparation we needed. Thanks to the panelists, since they are there to improve the quality of our research.

The intramurals also added a bit of nerve-racking experience since the defense will be after the intramurals, so we don't have much time since we spent the whole day inside the school. It was quite funny that there are students still doing their defense in our cafeteria.

The defense was one of the activities for which we were really prepared. As the day drew near, different emotions visited us researchers, as it signified the end of the beginning. But, regardless of the result, we felt happy, since what we’ve been working on for the past weeks would be presented to the respected teachers.

On that day, we researchers had different emotions; some felt excited and happy, but the majority felt nervous, and I’m one of them. As a leader, I expected myself to deliver and present our work smoothly, and I did. Though we weren’t able to defend it due to some reason, it didn’t really hurt us deeply. Yes, we are hurt since it was not defended, but I take it positively. Indeed, every experience, whether favorable or not, presents an opportunity for growth and learning. In the moment when the panelists conveyed their decision, I was immediately prompted to reflect on the lessons to be taken from the experience. Firstly, it became apparent that our level of preparation should always exceed the demands of the task at hand; readiness to face any challenge is important. Secondly, the importance of cohesive teamwork emerged as a fundamental takeaway, highlighting the need for effective collaboration and communication. And lastly, if we can do things now, do it now, as time is one of the precious things we have. But, as I've said, regardless of the result, it was a great experience, and I'm really grateful for that.

As per our sampling method, we used a purposive random sampling as it is the most compatible for our study objectives. This method involves selecting participants based on specific criteria relevant to our study, ensuring representation of the population of interest. By combining purposive selection with randomization, we achieve both relevance and statistical validity in our sample, enhancing the credibility of our findings.

In conclusion, as a first-time researcher, I hope that the lessons I've learned from the last defense may apply to the next and to the future.

During the defense, our hearts were pounding so hard; we had no idea what would happen inside the room. Despite our efforts, our paper was rejected, and we felt incredibly disappointed. We had worked tirelessly on it, sacrificing sleep and spending all day on our devices. We even spent too much money on printing. We gave our all to finish it. This experience made us realize that we don’t need to put so much pressure on ourselves for one thing. Fortunately, our group is lucky to have supportive teammates; together, we can complete tasks without feeling stressed. We’ve learned that it’s okay to try something new, so now we are working on a different topic. We chose to use the phenomenological method for our qualitative study because it helps us understand individuals' experiences, which suits our research topic well. Defense really helped us to gain more knowledge about research so we don’t have to worry when there is another research in the future

I observed that we had a title problem, which made our research defense a little challenging. They said that reading our title would have given you some confusion. Additionally, they claimed that our research topic was a case study since we explore or investigate the reasons why students in STI Calamba struggle or have misconceptions in mathematics. We had assumed that our study was a phenomenology study, which involves understanding the experiences through interviews. We acknowledge that the case study made it difficult to find our responders but it will helps us more to in-depth understand the situation. We need to identify a student who really encountered mathematical misconceptions and provide documentation demonstrating that their math grade was 80 or lower. We got nervous because we thought that our research title would be rejected, but luckily we only got a minor revision on our chapters 2 and 3. The panelists helped us revise the title.

Honestly, I didn't feel nervous that day since I already had experience with research title defense when I was in 10th grade, but I kind of felt pressured by that and the fact that I am the leader of the group. Based on my opinion regarding our recent title defense and in the making of our first chapters 1 to 3, it was actually a good start, not only for my group but for the whole section to learn how research papers work. And even though I already had experience making a whole research paper last year, I really learned a lot from this recent experience. I learned that qualitative research is not as easy as it seems. The process of making should not be rushed; from the start, when we're still thinking of topics that we want to study, up until chapter 3, everything should be deeply analyzed and checked. Unfortunately, our title was rejected by the panelists because they think that our study is far from our strand, which I didn't realize in the beginning. I'm kind of sad and disappointed because I really want to push through that topic since it really piques our interest, but I guess that study wouldn't really work for us. But, thankfully, we prepared a few topics beforehand, so we presented them to the panelists, and they agreed with the second topic, and they also helped us revise the title and everything. I'm really thankful that our teachers (even though they aren't our PR1 subject teacher) are willing to teach, guide, and help us on our PR1 journey. I already learned from my mistakes, and I hope to do better this time.

We used the purposive sampling method for our study because it's the most applicable since there are criteria for us to follow in choosing our respondents.

Once in a while, I cannot help but think of what happened during the defense. Most people that I met that was exuding with confidence before the defense had major revisions. That is to say, I became extremely nervous when it was our turn. The confidence that I had days before the defense went up, or shall I say evaporated? lol I always have a knack in faking confidence.

Furthermore, I really wanted to use Grounded Theory as our approach but we were not able to defend our title well. We were advised to make some changes in our title. Knowing that, I told the panelists that I would like to change our approach too. Afterall, I would not want to risk our research being rejected in the future just because Grounded Theory might be difficult to defend now that there are some changes in our title. I am really grateful to the panels as they kept giving us suggestions on how to improve our research further.

During the defense, I kept on telling my groupmates to smile. We are being roasted? Smile. Rejected? Smile. Revised? Smile. No matter what happens, at the very least, I wanted to boost our morals by asking them, including myself, to have a positive attitude. Albeit, it was all eme eme, I was actually dying and kept on wishing for it to end already. Yet, on the bright side, I was not sure about the others, but I could say that I had a bit of fun during the defense since I kind of find it exciting when I am in a pinch, even if, it was nerve-wracking.

Moving on, the sampling technique that we want to use is Purposive Sampling. I guess most groups will probably use that? We, the group 2, in particular wanted to be selective with our respondents and to not just pick randomly.

As we defending our Research, i have mixed emotions, i have so many what if during that defense. What if we fail, what if i stutter, what if i don't want this, but as i speech in front of panelists i don't think i care anymore, what i think is we should defend our research, what i think is i should speak freely and confident about my thoughts, my opinions, and ideas. During the questions time, I faced many questions from the panel, some were expected, and some were surprising. Each question allowed me to demonstrate my knowledge and critical thinking skills. Some questions tested my ability to think quickly and defend my research choices, while others offered new perspectives that I hadn't thought about. And that experience, I had so many lessons I learned, the feedback that I received from the panelists, and the journey of this challenging research yet gave us many lessons that teached us. The sleepless night, the tired we've been through, the nervous we had before defending our research is all worth it even though we didn't defend our research paper. Because we know that we do our best and put a lot of efforts just to defend our research paper. And this title defense was not just a presentation it was a reflection of our dedication to achieve this paper and our strong commitment to academic and intellectual growth. And after that defense all i ever think is to go home and sleep.

The weeks leading up to my research defense were a whirlwind of emotions. My members are hardworking, doing their parts in chapters 1–3 before the day of defense, which actually lasts 2 days. After the defense, we need to revise it because there are so many mistakes. I feel nervous and anxious that day because we didn't cram our research. How can I review if our work has not been fully revised yet? So we put in an effort to be done immediately, and we can review in time. The day of defense, I started overthinking because it was my first time doing this research title defense and standing with the panelists at the same time. My group members are studying our papers and preparing themselves; we don't have any practice with my members. The only thing on our minds is that we have the confidence to answer the panelist's question and defend our title properly. The other group started, and my feelings started to become nervous and anxious at that time. The other group has rejected their title, and I'm wondering if we can defend it or not at that time.

It's our turn; our research paper started being given to them; they started analyzing and checking our papers; the panelists started to say that we could start our presentation; and we discussed our goal in this research title, why we chose it, and the respondents of the study. After we finished our presentation, the panelists started the Q&A, and my members answered it carefully and wisely. Our group was hesitating about that. The panelists discussing our research title were not good at it, and my feelings started to regret it because we worked hard and I felt it'd be rejected. Their thoughts are more negative and started if we have provided backup titles, so it's rejected. We don't have any backup titles at that time. I'm sad and regret it. No revisions because we need to start with new titles and chapters 1–3. My members are sad because of this. We have another defense in 4th grade with chapters 1–5. We go out of the room with disappointment.

At first I really didn't understand anything, but when I rewatched the videos again, I was able to get them, then our leader decided to work in one place so that our research is matapos agad and kung may hindi ma gets or questions yung ibang members is magguide agad kami sa mga part namin sa research. So during that time we managed to finish our research. We really prepared for our research before the day of the title defense, we practiced first, isa-isa kaming tatanungin and then we had to make sure that our answers will satisfy the panelist, what we're the possible questions na pwede kaming magisa. The efforts we made as a team were really great, even one of our member didn't help, we really prepared. We didn't even cram our research and the day of our title defense I was so nervous like we practiced but the nervousness is really different when you are actually there and when we were next, i was little scared, because what if pag ako yung tinanong is ma blanko ako?😭 But during that time, we managed to present our research properly and the time when they were asking questions (gisahan na) is most of their questions is hindi namin na sagot nang ayos or hindi sila na satisfy sa sagot namin. So ayun rejected 'cause not sure daw if connected sa strand. We can't much about it 'cause nakapag decide na sila. When we left the room hindi pa rin nag s-sink in samin na rejected kami. But during that moment, we already learned our lesson (wag magpaka kampante) 'cause your never know what will happen next.

During our defense, i learn that if you knew your research very well you don't have to be nervous and answer what the panelist is asking. We also gain new knowledge about our research base on the advices of the panelist specially when it comes to our respondents, we have to be more specific to the characteristics of our respondents. We manage to defend our research but we have to do some revisions in our research paper. We use purposive sampling in this research because we have specific characteristics for our respondents like age, grade level, and their experiences. We will conduct one-on-one semi structured interviews so we can ask for follow up questions during the interview.

Our research defense was a stressful experience, especially because we were the second group to present. We barely knew what to expect and felt pressured to perform well. My group and I put in a lot of effort, staying up late to finish the research paper, create the presentation, and prepare for questions. We were exhausted but determined to succeed.

The defense itself was nerve-wracking. I felt dizzy from lack of sleep, but I gave it my best shot. The panelists challenged us with a lot of questions about our research topic. Even though we tried our best to answer them, we were ultimately unsuccessful. When they asked for backup titles, we knew it was over. All our hard work and sleepless nights felt wasted.

However, we didn't give up. We took the panelists' feedback seriously and reflected on their suggestions. It was okay to be upset after the defense, considering how much physical and mental energy we had invested. We decided to move forward and completely change our research topic.

Although we had to start from scratch, the panelists complimented our research paper, particularly Chapter 3. They suggested revisions to connect it to our new topic. We also reconsidered our sampling method. Initially, the panelists recommended the snowball method, but we decided the purposive method would be more effective for our study. This means we would choose participants (STEM students from public high schools lacking sufficient lab equipment) who specifically fit our research criteria.

These challenges made my team and I stronger and more determined. We faced the hardships head-on and learned to enjoy the research process. While it's normal to put in a lot of time and effort, we're committed to doing our best and making this research, the best research.

Getting ready for defending our title has been quite a hard. Our title defense was tough because it was hard to find research studies related to your topic. But we didn’t give up and worked hard to find what we needed. Even though it was challenging, it taught you the importance of being well-prepared and able to adapt. When we discovered we only had a 10-minute time for our presentation, we were a little anxious. The time felt insufficient to cover everything, especially Chapter 2. since this was my first time defending a title i was definitely nervous but

Despite the time crunch, we have gained valuable insights. We had to carefully consider what was crucial to include. Reflecting on it now, I appreciate the opportunity to help with our research study. Even though we had to rush, I believe we effectively communicated the significance of our work.

We also had to make challenging choices, such as opting for purposive sampling in our study. This decision was daunting initially, but in the end, it facilitated finding the right participants for our research. We selected purposive sampling to target individuals with relevant experience on our subject, ensuring that our data would be comprehensive and pertinent to our study goals.

First before the title proposal, our chapter 2 is not totally complete because we already done most of the sub topics but we just realize that our chapter 2 is not long enough to make it in 10 pages so we rush all the chapter 2 within 2 days before our title defense, second, while I'm going to print our research paper, I got stuck in heavy traffic so I got nervous, so after that freaking heavy traffic, I need walk faster since I know that I'm not only student who need to printed paper, lastly while we are in our title defense I got nervous because we are the first section that have a title defense. After our defense proposal our title got revised and most of the chapter need to start that is the chap 1 and 2, we didn't know we got rejected or defended but that's our lesson to improve our skills because most of us didn't know how to make a good research paper and this is our first time making and defense our research topic. Our sampling technique is purposive sampling, since this method give us exact answer we need to our study because this sampling we pick the top students in every section and ask them a questions about our study. We also choose this sampling technique to limit the students we need to interview.

╭┈ • ┈ • ┈ ୨୧ ┈ • ┈ • ┈╮

It feels like a roller coaster ride during the day of our defense. I spent an all-nighter managing and familiarizing myself with our research, leaving me tired on the exact defense day. But it didn't become a hindrance. I thoroughly prepared myself for our defense, making sure that I was already familiar with questions that they might ask. I did this so that I would be able to answer questions when they get to ask me or help my group members to answer. I collaborated with my group before our defense and shared some knowledge and tips before defending. We prepared individually, as well as a group, to make sure that everything went smoothly. I'm very complacent within our group because I know that each one of us is doing our best to execute this defense properly.

To be honest, I was so nervous because it was my first time doing real research and defense. When I was in junior high school, they only gave us a mini-task that was similar to this. I felt so overwhelmed by what was happening around me while we were in the waiting room. I could see my peers gathering to get ready for their turn, and I could overhear the experiences of others who had just finished. I couldn't focus on one thing because my thoughts were on top of my head.

When it was already our turn, I was kind of relieved. Maybe some of you will get confused, but I really did feel quite better when I was in the defense room itself. I just felt like "it's now or never" and that I had to do my best no matter what happens. I still felt nervous, though. I was also intimidated by the panelists. I was worried about how my performance was going to turn out because I was overthinking that my voice might crack or shake because of nervousness. I was afraid that I would stutter and not know what to say, fearing that my efforts would go to waste. But despite all of that, I put myself together and got the work done.

As we were done with our defense, I really didn't know if it was rejected or defended. Maybe the right word to describe it is "offended." I'm just glad that it's already over, and that our performance was not that bad for a first-timer. It felt like a stab was removed from my body because I felt relieved after that. I got to collaborate with my classmates about how their defenses turned out. Despite everything that had happened, I can say that this defense is still a great experience. It will serve as a guide and practice for our future tasks, especially since we still have a long way to go.

For our research, we used the Purposive Sampling Method, which is a group of non-probability sampling techniques used to select units based on specific characteristics required for the sample. In simple terms, we selected respondents "on purpose". We specifically used the Expert Sampling Method, which is used to select respondents with a high level of knowledge or expertise, for our research. We believe that this sampling method is appropriate for our study and will allow us to collect reliable data and achieve our intended outcome. Us researchers understand that this sampling method requires careful execution to ensure that the results we obtain are precise and accurate.

╰┈ • ┈ • ┈ ୨୧ ┈ • ┈ • ┈╯

This is not the first time I experienced a defense since I experienced it already when I was in my 4th year in junior high but the fear I felt the night before defense makes me want to retreat. I oddly remember that I didn't sleep at all because the anxiety I felt was overwhelming me. My experience in my JHS helped me through our defense since I know how to act and what to do during research. I also learned that you would successfully defend your research if you knew well the paper you did. It was a good experience for me since I learned a lot from the defense itself and also from the panelists. The journey we experienced was not that smooth, it was like a roller coaster experience since research is not the only one we worked on and still, we managed to defend the research title. I'm also proud of my members since they do their best to overcome their fear when it comes to facing the panelists. You can see the fear in their face and the constant questions they have in their mind. We also learn that doing research needs a lot of time so make sure that you don't cram your research.

We use purposive sampling because this is the appropriate sampling for research. It was also said in the defense why we picked this sampling and luckily we answered it correctly since we know what it is. Purposive sampling is purposefully choosing people according to traits, expertise, past encounters, or other standards and that's are requirement in choosing our respondents.

The day where everyone felt an uncontrollably nervousness because they put their blood, sweat, and tears in their works, have come. The title defense was held in April 1, 2024 at STI College Calamba. I felt a indescribable emotion that day; Wherein I don't know what to feel but I do know what I should do. We were nervous because the drinks that we planned to prepare is going to be late because the opening time of the store were same with the starting time of the defense but fortunately STEM11 handled it effortlessly. Our group was the first group to present. When the panelists told us to start, our leader, Sean Glomar didn't waste any seconds and started immediately.

The whole defense that happened was kind of a mess since we were stressing out and feeling afraid of what would be the result. Because of uncontrollably nervousness and lacks of sleep, it caused stuttering and not being able to explain when it was my turn to answer the panelists' question. Luckily, our leader, Sean Glomar was there to rescue. Despite of some little mistake we still managed to do our best that lead us to defend our research 50% successfully.

The panelists didn't reject our research but advised us to revise a lot of parts in our paper, they even suggested a specific topic since our topic was too broad, they said. When the defense ended we were confused if we defended our research or not, fortunately our dear panelists assured us that we defended it but just need some changes in the paper.

In this nerve-wracking journey that I experienced, all I can say is; cramming is not a good choice. I learned that when you're studying something new you need more time to analyze every corner of the study to defend your research well. Take your time to analyze things and do not do it on a given deadline. Cramming is a bad habit of mine and it's not recommendable to do when working on a research paper.

Before this reflection end, I just want to thank my groupmates for working hard and doing their best. We all did well.

On the first day of the first week of April 2024, the defense for our research title was scheduled. We were actually really nervous since most of us doesn't have any experience in terms of defense like this. We never know what will happen before and after the research title defense. None of us have any idea about the things that we will encounter.

Before the defense, due to my adrenaline maybe, I rushed my members to do all the tasks as early as they could so that we will have plenty of time to have a group study about the research that we conducted or made, rather. Even though we really did our best in doing all the tasks and tried to finish it in a week, we still ended up rushing until the last minute. The night before the defense, me as a leader, I did the proofreading and some final revisions to ensure the strength of our study right from chapter one to chapter three. At that night, I was sleepless and devastated because it's already just a night before the defense itself and I'm still doing all these tasks instead of just analyzing it. My groupmates and I really had hard time doing the jobs, specifically, because some of us did not experience doing a research paper before. I expect that I am handling the situation well since my groupmates that does not have any background in doing research can easily cope up with my assistance and help. It's a good thing that my groupmates are willing to help and learn for me and for the sake of the research paper that we are conducting.

During the defense day, I was really anxious because it's "the day" and yet my groupmates are still looking for a printing shop where we can print out our paper. Good thing that they arrived just in time and safe with the printed research paper. Before we enter the room of the defense, I made sure that my groupmates know the core knowledges that they should know about our paper such as, the significance of the study, the beneficiaries, the sampling method, the scope and the gap, the reason why we picked the title and topic for our study, and of course, the title. I didn't have plenty of time to ensure their knowledge about our study but I am pretty confident that they know the details since all of them participated in doing the paper, at the same time, all of them responds to all my messages and questions in the group chat.

At the title defense itself, all of us were nervous to the point that we can't even decide for the basic things. We kept on asking each other some things like: "pasok na ba tayo?", "sino mauunang pumasok?", and many more. At that point, I was slowly thinking that these people are not really confident so I was thinking I must prepare myself because throughout this battle, one of us should be an ace and must be the greatest warrior of the defense. Throughout the defense, we were able to answer all the questions given to us. Honestly, there's a question that one of my groupmates wasn't able to answer correctly so it backfired towards us but I was able to follow up the correct answer, thankfully. The defense result came out uncertain because we really weren't sure if it's defended or not but the teachers confirmed that it is defended but still needs lots of revisions. That time, I got emotional because I thought we're going to be rejected. When I was able to exit the room, I cried a little bit to let my emotions out because it was too much. I am glad that the new title given to us was still aligned with our original title, so, we don't have to change that much of things.

We used purposive sampling because we needed few students that can surely show how STEM education enhanced their Critical Thinking. Purposive because we were trying to get the participants of the study in a way that we, researchers, ensured. We chose participants base on their academic excellence and performance.

In this experience, I realized that there are a lot of things that we should expect and lessen expectations. Before the defense, I thought our study would be easily defended but then I realized, not any of it can be easily achieved at all. We must really align our expectations with the effort we put on our work. The thing we should expect more is the struggle and burden so that we can prepare ourselves emotionally and mentally, it's not easy to defend anything, so, it is normal to have hard time but we should learn that these things are normal. We are preparing ourselves for the near future and this is part of it. We should know that these things are part of our journey and without it, we wouldn't know how hard it can be in the future. These fights are for the greatest experience so that we can truly prepare ourselves to the fullest!

My experience in the recently-held title defense was like a rollercoaster ride. I experienced different emotions, such as stress, nervousness, calmness, sadness, disappointment, happiness, and relief. There were a lot of emotions I encountered. I was stressed because of the problems we encountered beforehand. I was also nervous because our group was the first to go in for the defense, which made me feel that the pressure and high expectations were all put on our group. Despite that, I just said to myself that I should just be confident and act like this is just usual reporting that happens in a usual classroom setting. I know that we can do this, and we just have to trust ourselves and do our best. During the first half of the defense, I was just calm and confidently presenting every part of our paper. But as time passes by, there are parts of our work on which we have received comments that we need to revise. Because of that, I felt sad and disappointed because there are a lot of things that we need to do, in addition to the enormous amount of schoolwork that is still ongoing at that time. Also, we invested a lot of effort and money into our research paper just for it to not be accepted. I was overwhelmed—to the point that I had to distance myself from others for a while to process things in my mind. After all, I am still happy and relieved that the defense is finally over. I am still thankful that our research paper is still defended, even though there are parts that we need to revise. The most important thing is that that we did our best and we just have to be better the next time around.

What I have learned from my experience is that we should really invest time and effort into our research paper. We should focus on establishing the quality of the paper and identify how it contributes to the body of knowledge and not just doing it only for grades. Teamwork and commitment must also be practiced. It is detrimental for the group if the members are responsible in doing their parts properly. Moreover, procrastinating and cramming are the things that we should really avoid. In my part, we started to work on our research paper late, that's why we crammed the rest of the paper the night before the defense day.

The sampling technique that we will utilize is purposive sampling. This is because there are characteristics that we need to consider while selecting respondents, which include the respondents' strand, grades, and their experiences with joining math competitions, which contribute significantly to the development of their numeracy skills. Purposive sampling, from the name "purposive," means that we are selecting our respondents on purpose, which helps us choose the best and most appropriate respondents based on the characteristics that we need for our research paper.

To sum up, the best thing that I have learned is to just do your best everytime and never give up. At the end of the day, your hardworks will never betray you.

Previously from our research title defense/presentation, I got filled with emotion once I saw some of the other groups that had gone earlier in the title presentation, as some had effectively defended their title study while others, regrettably, were rejected. This occurred before the title research presentation of our group. I was checking in with other researchers of my group to see how our work was going. We regretfully cannot correct all of the errors we found during our study because we have already printed and submitted our ideas. I was overthinking things because I wanted to succeed when I saw other groups succeeding, but there were times when other groups were turned down as well, so I wanted to do really well. What if we received criticism for what we did at that moment in time? I was somewhat nervous when our group was called, and I started to think of potential questions the panelists might ask. We headed to present everything and finish as much of the presentation as we could when the official title defense began. The panelists interrupted us to ask questions on the research. We were questioned widely over the title and the RRLs; I felt under constant pressure to provide thoughtful answers to their questions. Along with praising the title because the panelists agreed that it was a great term, they also said that it was an idealistic concept.I can clearly tell where this presentation is going because they mentioned that the idea behind it was really idealistic. fortunately, our title was rejected, it did not leave a negative effect on us since we understood that the ideas and concept behind our title were the real issue, not the research itself. They told us to come up with a new title and get it validated since we submitted our backup titles, none of which were allowed. We went outside and discussed our plan of action to come up with a new research title. We took a lot of factors into consideration after having that experience. Finally, the sampling strategy we utilized was purposive sampling since we needed relevant responses and determined the respondents based on a set of criteria and requirements that would be beneficial for the study.

Looking back on our research defense on April 1st, it's clear it wasn't the outcome we were hoping for. It was definitely disappointing, especially after all the hard work we put in. It was tough hearing that our defense was not successful after all the late nights and effort we put into our individual parts.

One of the main areas we need to improve on is the RRLs. We didn't proofread them carefully enough, which led to Ms. Gel's questions. As well as the Methodology, our methodologies were not matching each other and did not notice it since we did not proofread it thoroughly.

Honestly, after the defense, I wanted to cry because I knew it meant starting over. All those sleepless nights, the midnight breakdowns, the moments of feeling lost and wanting to give up – it felt overwhelming to have to go through it all again. Not to mention, the amount of money we used in printing copies of our research for our panelists. It was quite expensive and we had to use our own allowance to pay for it. But, instead of letting it get us down, we decided to use it as motivation to do better. We realized what we lacked before, and now we're working hard to fix it. This experience is a reminder that failure can actually lead to positive things, as long as you learn from it and grow as a person.

Moving forward, we're actively addressing the gaps in our purposive sampling. We're revisiting the selection criteria to ensure participants truly represent the specific characteristics we need for a robust qualitative analysis. This might involve refining our recruitment process to target individuals with the most relevant experiences and perspectives.

By taking a more critical look at our purposive sampling procedure, we aim to gather richer data and ensure our focus group discussions provide deeper insights for the research. This experience has been a valuable lesson in the importance of meticulousness and a reminder that setbacks can be opportunities for growth. We're determined to deliver a stronger research project the next time around, with a more effective purposive sampling strategy at its core.

Days before the scheduled day of our defense, I panicked hard because I haven't done defense before, so I don't know what will happen. I did so much research on title defense online just to gain knowledge in that area. It goes without saying that learning your research paper by heart is the most crucial step towards successfully defending your title. I've been putting a lot of effort into our research with my group members. All of the sleepless evenings spent during the research process were necessary to ensure that the paper would turn out as well as we had hoped.

Finally, defense day is April 1, 2024. Oddly enough, today makes me feel less nervous—possibly because my defense's questions have finally been answered. I read the paper again and again before my defense to make sure I understood it, and I spent hours practicing explaining what I was saying. Although we are the third group, we had to follow the first group into a room because of some issues we ran into. I felt mixed feelings as I saw the faces of the first group, and then all of a sudden, I became nervous again. But I urged myself to relax because it's finally time for us to get to the room. I noticed the different reactions on the panelists' faces as I was getting ready to give the presentation. I try not to get too nervous during the defense by pretending like I'm delivering a regular presentation. I stuttered a lot as I was speaking in front of the panelists, but that didn't stop me from going on. I also tried to be as calm as I could because I could see their reactions and their thoughts on our paper while I was talking. We didn't have enough time to clarify anything in the ten minutes that the presentation lasted. Everything went wrong after the presentation when the title was reviewed.

It genuinely hurt me to accept that we were unable to defend our proposed title. We are attempting to push the first topic we proposed and asking if there is another way we can work it out, but they are still not interested in it. Fortunately, we have backup titles that the panelists approved. I'm still proud of my groupmates for their hard work on the paper, even if we had to go through it. Although tears were shed, it was an unforgettable moment for both me and my groupmates. I will learn a lot from that experience, even though it is a roller coaster of emotions.

Ms. Diane, however, gave our chapter 3 a positive review despite all the difficulties we have had with defense, stating that it is the part where everything is contained and organized properly. As soon as Ms. Diane mentioned that, I was relieved that our hard work had finally been noticed.

After defense, I realized that there are instances in our lives where everything is not going our way, but that doesn't mean we should stop thriving in success; those instances can lead to another way for us to discover better things. I'm now working on our new study topic that was proposed by the panelists with my group. I'm hoping we can finally claim the title of "Research Defended" in the upcoming defense. In order to accomplish that, I will apply the knowledge I have learned to our most recent defense and make use of it as a benchmark for improvement.

The outcome of our research defense caught us off guard. Despite facing rejection, we found ourselves laughing, knowing deep down that we had put our best effort into it. While the panelists acknowledged the quality of our content, they deemed the proposed title unworthy of pursuit. It's disheartening to think that the countless hours and stress invested in crafting chapters 1-3 might now seem futile because of a title discrepancy. Yet, amidst this disappointment lies an opportunity for growth. I've come to realize that we must take matters into our own hands, recognizing that what resonates with our research advisor may not necessarily align with the panelists' expectations. Moving forward, we intend to seek diverse perspectives from various respected educators to refine our approach. We chose purposive sampling method because we wanted to specifically select participants who had expertise or experience relevant to our research topic. This method allowed us to gather targeted and insightful data, enhancing the quality and relevance of our study

Before the day of our defense came, I was already nervous because I had a lack of sleep, and with this I was afraid our defense might be affected. Because I might have a lack of focus during our defense, and I won’t be able to answer the panelists’ questions. Which is I don’t want to happen, because it can affect the group and I don’t want them to be disappointed. Doing our research while reviewing it, it makes us feel exhausted because we went through tons of revisions before we finished our paper until the defense was approaching. It is inevitable that there will be difficulties and confusions in our research, but despite the hardships that we went through, we did not give in to our fatigue. We are still determined to finish our paper even though individually, we have many prioritizations that also need to be finished. We did not lose hope and especially and most importantly we did not lost our unity in our group, we always make sure that our group will participate to all task, which is the good thing for us. Actually, there are times that had a slow process, but a slow process that we make sure that what we did was right and clear in our paper.

On the 1st of April 2024, Monday, our title defense happened. We are the 5th group to present. It was a nerve wracking feeling and experience because we are the last group to present, and I know that being a last group to present, there are tons of expectations and standards going to happened. It should be everything needs to be well prepared and the flow of our defense should be smooth, because we are the ones who had a lot of time to prepare more for our defense, which is that’s what our group did. But thankfully we are the last group to present, because arriving in the school around 7:30am, our group noticed and observed that we had some few mistakes in our paper work that also affected us, because we had some confusions and we panicked because it’s our defense day. We had no choice but to change it immediately while there’s still time. Actually we are still thinking about whether we will change it or not, because we will print a new paper again, and we are going to edit our power point presentation. But then again, we need to change it right away, because if not, our group will had tons of confusions and we are the ones who will have a hard time defending our title. That’s why thankfully, we immediately made the changes that we needed to take action to be also prepared.

Upon revising our paper on the spot, we combined it with practice and reviewing our paper at the same time, because we also started to feel the pressure and the nervous feeling, because the other groups had finished their defense.

Our group is getting closer to present, we started telling each other advices and tips that we need to do while defending our title especially when it comes to question and answer time. Now that it is our time to defend our title, my feelings are unexplainable and indescribable, because what I feel and what is going around in my mind are mixed. Even though I experiences lots of times of defense, but still the nervousness can’t really be avoided. Entering the room will a panelists, I make sure that myself is calm, prepared, and focus in our study, also I clear my mind with lots of overthinking. I take a deep breath, saying to myself that "I can do it, I need to do my best".

At first, I thought that it would be easy to defend our study, because upon reviewing it I understand and comprehend all the information and the purpose of our study. When we are done presenting, to be honest we had a smooth flow of presenting it. But when the panelists started to throw the questions related to our study, in the beginning, we answered it well and had smooth flow. But it was getting longer, it started to have a confusions in our study. There are parts that we did not defend our title properly, although we did not stop explaining it to the panelists, still there is a problem in our study. We did our best defending it until the end, because we are really determined to have a approved title. But unfortunately, our defense title/title for rejected due to some reasons. We received tons of advices and feedbacks for our next study that we are going to make, which could help us. Still we are thankful to all the panelists that critique us because with that, we can make tons of improvements in our next paper work.

It was a sad news actually to our group, because we had to start until the beginning, and we all know how hard it is. But still we promised to ourselves, that in our next study, we are going to succeed it, and we will make sure that this time, it is going to be better. Still the unity in our group will not be lost, and the one thing for sure is we will not lose hope again, we need to continue. I can't deny that it is hard but we won't give up, this is a challenge that we need to came through.

Moving forward to our sampling technique, our group used purposive sampling procedure. Since it is a qualitative research approach, in this procedure, the researchers will gather a detailed data from a specific group of respondents that is relevant to the research questions. Also in this procedure, the researchers identifies the characteristics and qualities that the respondents in the study should possess. The characteristics and qualities are determined by the researchers' objectives. With this procedure, it can help our study to gather data that is related to our topic/questions.

Our group, will dig deeper, to gain more knowledge and ideas in creating a new paper work, to lead to a better work.

It was quite a ride. I was really nervous since it was my first time defending a research title. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to answer any of the questions the panelists would ask, and that the presentation wouldn't be good enough. However, the presentation went well, and the panelists weren't too strict, so we just explained what was going on in the PowerPoint slides. We only had 10 minutes to present chapters 1-3 of our paper, but we only managed to cover chapter 1. After the presentation, the panelists asked some questions. They asked me one, and although I knew the answer, I was so overwhelmed that my response wasn't completely clear. Thankfully, our team members were able to provide the answers to the remaining questions. Unfortunately, the panelists told us that our title wasn't unique and was shallow, so we had to revise it. I was quite sad since I was the one who came up with the original title and we had put in a lot of effort to finish the research paper. After the defense, I felt relieved that it was finally over.

We choose purposive sampling because it allows us to select participants with specific characteristics relevant to the research. Also it allows us to strategically select participants based on availability, accessibility, or willingness to participate.

I too feel nervous at that time because this is the first time I will do a research defense, and I don't know what to do in there. But luckily, Jen and Jarren are in there to give us some tips about the research defense, what dos and don'ts, and other things.

Unfortunately our topic was rejected. We all feel upset about the result, but I know Jarren and Jen are the ones who feel upset the most. Good thing there's some parts that the panelists said were quite good, so we just need to revise them a little bit. The panelists gave us a new topic to do, and now we're doing our best to do it. The method that we decided to do is the purposive method, because this method would be effective in our new topic.

My mind went blank in front of the panelists because of nervousness and got pressured. I understand the questions that was asked by the panelist but i can’t find a way to answer their questions. The presentation really went well even though the time limit was only 10 mins, we still manage to explain it well.

Our research or title got rejected, we felt awful and disappointing about the outcome.

It's been a while since the last time that I participated in composing a Qualitative type of Research. During my Junior highschool days, I extremely remember the first time that we conducted a Research. It's been difficult for us since that is the first time that we'll be formulating a Research. And we also have a "baby title defense" That is necessary for having a permit in our examination and for passing the 4th quarter the 4th quarter. However I'm thankful for that , because I personally grow and it also improves my critical thinking as well as my manners.

In that moment I said to myself that all of the memories and experience was totally priceless and it will serve as my existing weapon. Because this prior knowledge of mine when it comes to research was necessarily important when we will have another Research in near future, especially in my Senior highschool and College journey.

Moving forward on our recent Research title proposal/defense I remember the sleepless nights and especially the draining moments that I and my first group in our Practical research. But suddenly we have misunderstandings and several issues that lead to the dissolution of our Group. Luckily we have been given a second chance to prove and improve ourselves. Because due to the dissolution of our Group we've been placed into another group that will help and will serve as our ally in continuing our Practical Research.

While our journey on composing our Research continues, I believe that we all felt tired and drained, because the pressure is rolling and the struggle was completely real. But as a group we managed to conquer and comprehend within the situation that we were in. We focus on the things that are valuable instead of mocking and being hopeless. I mean the excitement and the overall experiences that we felt is one of the parts of our sweet success. Even though we all have anxieties and complications while striving to have a successful and worthy Research.

Upon formulating and organizing or thoughts we came up with the research title:

" A CONSTRUCTIONIST LENS TO “IMPROVE INVENTING SKILLS” IN PROTOTYPING DRRR SUBJECT SOLUTIONS AMONG GRADE 12 STEM STUDENTS IN STI COLLEGE CALAMBA "

As we defended our Research Title, I believe that we all felt nervous. But I suddenly feel mixed emotions. Because I'm extremely grateful since we will be defending our papers with all of our blood and sweat. I mean this is the time that we will be experiencing to have a Research Defense again. And I worried a lot because I didn't have time to prepare myself and to formulate my personal thoughts and other stuff due to lack of time management. But thankfully, after all of the disasters and struggles that we've experienced , it was over. Because as a group we are able to defend and prove our Research and ourselves, that we can conduct a Good and Quality Research paper in early Senior highschool.

To sum up everything, during my previous Research Title Defense/Proposal I've come up with different realizations such that we understand different perspectives when it comes to socializing together with our Groupmate and comprehending the essence and the significance of conducting a Research.

The research defense really gave me a lot of mixed emotions on grinding to make a research paper on time, making sure that the paper have few mistakes as much as possible, and so on. It's not a new experience for me since I had done something similar when I was at 10th grade but this time, the experience was a lot more memorable and gave a lot more of stress. During the defense, The stress was a lot less for some reason. Maybe because I know to myself that I should not show any sign of weakness or nervousness because it may seem for the panelists that we are not ready and confident in our research. There was only a few questions about our paper, which I'm happy about since I was so anxious what type of questions we are about to be given before the defense. Thankfully, we successfully defended our research with only minor revisions given. After the defense, we are happy because we defended our paper and sad at the same time because there are a lot more pending activities that we had to finish. In our paper, we chose purposive sampling as the sampling technique due to the reason that we need to select out respondents with characteristics like their strand and first-hand experience.

On April 4, 2024, we had our first-ever title proposal defense at STI Calamba as grade 11 students. We were the first group in our section to defend our title. As the leader of our group, I advised them not to be nervous when presenting and to be themselves. To be honest, I was quite nervous for our group because I had heard rumors that many students' titles were being rejected. I assumed that the panelists' standards were high. So when it was our time to defend, the cold environment of the room made me somewhat nervous, and the tension was high. However, when we started, my nervousness decreased. I really thought that we were also going to be rejected since they had somehow found a flaw in our paper, and when the panelists asked my members questions and they could not answer them, I tried to answer for them just to remove the awkwardness. After long minutes of discussions with the panelists, we politely asked if our title was approved. They answered yes, with some minor revisions! We were so glad to hear that after thinking that we were going to be rejected. My feelings felt like a rollercoaster at that time, where my emotions went from nervous to calm, back to nervous, and then to happy and excited.

This experience taught me that you can never truly understand the challenges until you face them head-on. Overall, it was a great experience to go through it with my teammates, and it is undoubtedly a memorable one!

In our research paper, we are using the purposive sampling technique. Purposive sampling is used in research studies to select a specific group of individuals or units for analysis based on their characteristics or attributes of interest. This method is appropriate when the researcher has a clear idea of the characteristics or attributes they want to study and wants to select a sample that is representative of those characteristics. By using purposive sampling, we can ensure that the selected participants possess the relevant traits or experiences necessary for our research objectives, allowing us to gain valuable insights into the phenomenon we are investigating.

However, I'm still struggling to write a research paper and defend it to the panelists. During our research defense, me and my groupmates are really nervous because some of them haven't had a research defense in their grade 10. The panelists are very kind; they give all their effort to help us. We ended up being "new title holders," which makes us disappointed because all of our hard work goes to nothing. After the defense, I realized that we needed to finish the paper early so that we could still review it and prepare for the defense. The sampling technique we used was purposive sampling to ensure that the participants had characteristics that fit our goal.

I'm a bit tied up at those times, so the doubts and anxiety hit me so hard. During the title defense, as soon as I stepped into the room where we're going to defend, I felt nervous, excited, anxious, and scared all at once because I was wondering if our research title would be approved or rejected by our panelists. Throughout the process of our defense, my performance wasn't that good; I felt disappointed and frustrated with myself to the point that I even apologized to my groupmates. But that doesn't affect who I really am. I told myself to do better next time and step out of my comfort zone for my personal growth and improvement as I explore and discover new things in this world we live in. Just like research, this helps us to solve all the circumstances happening in our world and helps us to deepen our understanding, organize our thoughts, and gain knowledge about it. Finally, after the defense, we are over the moon because our research title got approved with minor revisions given. Thanks to our research teacher, Sir Marlon Canicula. For helping us to give advice, insights, and give extracts from our research. I can't just describe how thankful and appreciative I am at the moment as we overcome this research title defense altogether after all the hard work and challenges we've been through.

On the day of April 4, 2024, was a day that stuck with me for a while. A day that was a rollercoaster of emotions. As an IT student, I was a bit familiar with research and how to find different information needed. However, constructing our research paper was not easy and it took several struggles and difficulties, I had groupmates who weren't really pulling their weight and groupmates who did not know what to do. Despite the different challenges and problems, we pushed through and finally made chapters 1-3 of our research paper. Then the day of the presentation arrived, At first, I was a bit excited and also nervous because we were finally gonna present the current work of our research paper. I believed that our work would break through, but I was wrong. The panelists were disappointed with our work, it felt like a big letdown. I know that they could have expected more from us but didn't get it. Maybe they thought our ideas weren't clear enough that we didn't put in enough effort or it was really just mid. It would make us feel bad because we wanted to impress them, but we fell short somehow. It's like when you try hard to make someone proud, but it just doesn't happen and instead, you disappoint them. But instead of getting down about it, we learned from their feedback and promised to do better next time. In that way, we turned our disappointment into more motivation to improve. I knew na we had to fix things in our group, so we talked it out and i came up with a plan. We decided who would do what and when, so everyone knew their job. We also made sure to check in often to see how things were going. We knew we needed to get better at researching and presenting our ideas too kasi nung presentation namin, some of my groupmates were blanking and na nahihirapan sila magexpress or magsabi ng part nila. So, i told them that we should work harder to find more information and make our research paper stronger. I also told them na they should practice our presentation a lot too, i wanted to make sure we knew what to say and how to say it. Para kapag dumating na ulit yung presentation day namin we would feel ready. I want them to speak more confidently and clearly, para magustuhan ng panelist's. I want them to compliment our improvements and how well we improved. Looking back sa reflection ko, I realized that when things don't go well, it's a chance to learn and get better. Sa pamamagitan ng pakikipag work together and pagpapractice, we can turn our disappointment into success. And now, i feel more confident to tackle whatever comes our way next. These past few months have been tough, and reflecting on our journey as a group, we realized that our disappointment was a turning point for us. It made us stop and think about what went wrong and how we could do better. Basically, just the indomitable human spirit lols. I think that by coming together as a team and na if everyone was committing to improvement, we would be able to overcome our setbacks and achieve success. The process wasn't easy talaga huhu. It took a lot of hard work and dedication. There were times na I felt frustrated and discouraged, but i didn't give up. Instead, ginamit ko yung feelings as motivation to drive us forward. As a G11 student, there are definitely more things to learn and move forward, we carry with us yung mga lessons that we learned from our experience. Character development kumbaga haha, We know that setbacks are a natural part of any journey, but they don't define us. What matters is how we respond to them. And for us, turning our disappointment into motivation was the key to our success. So, while April 4, 2024, will always be a day that stuck with me, it's not because of the disappointment that I felt. Instead, it's a reminder of how far we've come and what we're capable of achieving when we work together and never give up. Sa sampling technique naman, we used purposive sampling para we can make sure that the participants had the characteristics to fit the goal that we want.

For our research defense, we lacked the time to explain our research presentation because we explained it one by one after the 10mins presentation. The panelist started asking questions, which is why we were all nervous but we have to control our feelings for our defense until the end of our defense, while they were asking about the title and what we did our research for, many of us were nervous but our leader was a kind, and I'm so proud of him because he is a brave man he doesn't let us down that we can't speak in front of the panelist because he doesn't want us all to be embarrassed. Often in our group many of our group members have difficult to speak because it was the first time we did a research defense, but somehow we were ok with the panelist because they didn't pressure us too much and they even gave good communication to our group members, so we're less nervous in front of them and they're also are entertaining to talk to even when they tell us about the mistakes we made in our research. Let's go back to our defense again, we have also made many mistakes in our defense like our RRL exceeded the limitation of years they said, and the others is Theoretical framework, conceptual framework, corollary question and etc. But even though there were many revisions in our research we did, we were successful! pero babawi pa kami para sa our final research defense! we will try our best to be more successful!!

Our practical research really tested our patience. We faced a lot of conflicts while making it, which led to difficulties, especially since it's the first time I've had to defend our research title. At first, I didn't feel nervous and just stayed positive (pahumle at first para di mausog pero nausog). However, upon seeing the panelists, I started to feel nervous. After presenting our research, the panelists began asking us questions about our research title. Ma'am Gel asked me first about our topic and how related I am to it. I stuttered while answering her question, feeling anxious as she continued to ask more questions. When she mentioned that our topic is already a prototype, I felt a sense of hopelessness, knowing that it had failed from the start. Of course, I felt disappointed, but I realized that failure is not the end for us. We can develop new ideas and work as a group again.

On that day, I felt a mixed of emotions. Although Miss Gel suggested a new title for our research, which led us to begin anew, I hadn't thoroughly studied the topic. I only familiarized myself with it, making me realize the importance of studying your topic to avoid conflicts during the defense. While the defense didn't go as expected, it provided valuable lessons and the opportunity to start afresh. I'm grateful for the support and effort of our group throughout this journey. Purposive sampling is a qualitative research method in which participants are purposefully chosen based on specific criteria in order to target individuals or groups with important characteristics or experiences.

I frickin hate my life. PURO NALANG KAMALASAN. The day when it was research defense, I CAME REALLY EARLY. I WAS ALREADY AT SCHOOL AT 7AM. This ONE friend said that one of our classmate jokingly said that we can go to school anytime we want on the day of defense. OF COURSE I MISUNDERSTOOD IT AND FOLLOWED THE REGULAR CLASS SCHEDULE. I don't want to go home that time because I'm already dressed neatly and I also don't wanna disturb my mother who just got home from work. So what I did was review our research paper, made some possible question flashcards with answers, and sleep. I was so tired that time that I have been sleeping for 3 hours in the roofdeck. When the it's our turn to defend our title, I didn't felt nervous at all because I knew that we will fail. Only few groups successfully defended their papers so it's automatically a failure addition with the useless groupmates who helped nothing. Not even a tiny whiney bit of RRL. Luckily the panelist gave us time to revise our title and redo the whole thing. We wanted to interview random grade 11 that will answer our questions with honesty but we're going to interview college IT students instead. We asked out adviser for help. The other teacher's also joined to help us to the point that most of the senior highschool teachers are gathered in the room to guide us (they also went for food).

I went home late and I got scolded for not cleaning the house like GIRL. I LITERALLY JUST CAME HOME. I realized that we should appreciate the second chances that people gives us. You know why? You failed on the first one then you're going to fail them again? It would be a shame if you failed them again knowing the fact that they gave you a second chance to improve your work. I also realized that we should not be bothered by our failure. Thinking about your failure only makes you depressed and feel like a loser. Instead, use your failure as a step that can guide you and avoid you from doing the same mistakes again. FYI, this is the third time I made a reflection because even when I save my work as a draft, it keeps deleting my work.

I frickin hate my life. PURO NALANG KAMALASAN.

Our research study is A! Pataas and Traditional Reviewer Method: A Comparative Study On Academic Success of Selected Senior High School Students of STI College Calamba. A! Pataas is a quiz application that allows students to answer questions based on their strand or interest. The game has levels that considers the difficulty of each questions. Also, it was created with the goal of merging the entertainment and education because we want our application to be their way of getting motivated while learning various topics. Based on the title, we want to examine anong method or medium favorable ang students kapag nag-rereview sila for their upcoming exams. Since a lot of students tend to use online platforms kapag nagpepreapre sila sa quizzes or exams, we thought of an application na hindi lang quiz application na i-aapply lang mga natutuhan nila pero they can customize based on their preferences.

As for my contributions, ako yung umaasikaso ng pangkalahatan from pagsusulat ng inassign ko hanggang sa pagrerevise. Nag-aassign ako sa mga ka-group ko and ako yung nagcocountercheck kung tama and relevant ito sa study.

My reflection about our Research topic that it’s kind of hard to do especially the programming part because we need to code it again. But at the same time I think that it is a good topic considering what we are majoring and the current problems it is facing. Our research is about a comparative analysis on the effectiveness of our game which is Detective Codenan, a Python coding and quiz game in computer and mobile version. The objective of this study is to determine which version is more effective and accessible to use as an educational game. Also we want to create a game that is playable and accessible to students to learn Python in a fun way. My contribution in our paper is I am mostly the one who review the paper and say what are the revision needed. I was also assigned to our Statement of the Problem, it is the questions we need to answer in our study in order to make a conclusion. I am more focus on the development of the game, as I am the one who is coding it, that's why I only have few contributions in the paper.

Abiera, Ryza Belle F.

Group 6

Research Study: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BETWEEN LUTOLOKAL APP AND TRADITIONAL COOKBOOKS IN TERMS OF FILIPINO DISH SOURCING PREFERENCES OF SELECTED SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT OF STI COLLEGE CALAMBA

Through our research journey, I have realized that the differences in absorbing and consuming information across various mediums are still not well-studied, including the decision-making process and the elements that people consider when consuming media. Most of the time, articles only discuss the differences between different mediums in terms of marketing strategy, rather than focusing on the day-to-day lives of people, such as sourcing dish options to cook or make in the kitchen. Therefore, our research study aims to identify the significant differences between a traditional cookbook, a printed media, and LutoLokal, a digital application, in various aspects that need to be considered when consuming media. It also aims to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of both mediums in terms of dish sourcing preferences of the respondents.

In this paper, I am assigned to write the Introduction part. However, due to changes in the format, the introduction was merged with the Background of the Study written by my groupmate. The content of my introduction includes a general description of the media, followed by discussions on traditional and digital media, an inference on our society regarding the consumption of both mediums, and a brief explanation of why our application is named "LutoLokal." Next, the Statement of the Problem consists of questions that the researchers intend to answer in the study. Lastly, the Statistical Treatment involves using statistical tools to process and analyze data, make inferences, and draw conclusions. Everyone in our group has an equal share of the Review of Related Literature and Studies. These are my assignments in the paper; however, I am the one who leads the group, proofreads and revises my groupmates' parts, compiles the paper, and ensures that everything is in order.

Eirene Grace P.

I knew it was going to be nervous from my first defense. I'm anxious because I don't know how a research defense operates or should be conducted, but I'm also excited. I encountered numerous challenges, particularly on the eve of our defense when we were cramming. Based on my own experience, it's quite challenging to cram the research you've done because it was my first time and I didn't have enough time to actually study the research we made. Our chosen sampling strategy is simple random sampling, which we chose because it will enable us to extract relevant data from a subset of the population for our study.
