I do not have  a classroom of my own (yet), but I do work in a volunteer position at a local school here in my town. I work mostly with the teachers, training them and teaching them new strategies on how to teach their students.  The education is extremely different here so the teachers I work with may not have any education beyond high school, and if they do have it they do not know  how to have a hands-on, interactive approach with their students.  

I do also occasionally pull the lower students to work 
individually with them. I am really looking forward to this class because I am hoping it will give some clarity on how to better help these students.

At my school here, my teachers do mostly lecture method, and do not use assessments to guide their instruction. They order their tests from the government, not knowing at all what will be on them. I would love to be able to help them come up with their own assessments for their students.  I have tried this many times, but it is extremely daunting to them.  I think if I can do this the right way they will find it beneficial for themselves and their students, knowing better how to teach them.]]> 2018-01-06 03:53:57 UTC https://padlet.com/abby34/icrfeh3j26co/wish/219058765
