1. Justice is fairness for all people in society.
2. Our society is just in the sense that there are certain laws and programs such as the social service or Obamacare that help those that can not obtain certain resources otherwise.
3. Justice is the action of making sure that someone who might not be inherently equal to others in society receives what they need so they have equal opportunity and injustice is the deliberate action of denying those who need more any type of help.

1. I think bias did play a part in "The Moral Machine" activity mostly because I chose certain outcomes based on my personal beliefs and experiences, not thinking about a universalized outcome.
2. The type of bias shown in these engineering and technological failures are mostly to do with the creator of these products not taking into account certain possibilities. For example, the person that made the soap dispenser probably thought that it was fine because it worked well for him. Sometimes engineers need to take into account that even though their product might work for them, it can have other problems they can't see.

1. Individual and interpersonal racism involve a lot of personal feeling and happens because of bias in a certain person's mind, while institutional and structural racism are a result of actions that have been taken in the past, either by a group of people or the government. The philosophy of antiracism is simply to fight against racism, but it is a constant decision to be antiracist, not just avoiding partaking in racist actions.
2. I definitely have an obligation to stop racist and biased behavior on campus both at a personal level and an institutional level. One of the things I've heard on campus is "we climb together", which means that as a school we have an obligation to make sure everyone has that chance to do well at our school. The stories shared on this Instagram show that sometimes student are singled out based on race, which can negatively impact minorities chances of striving at Mines.
