- The Neuremberg Laws were first introduced in 1935 by the Nazi Party during their annual party rally. These laws excluded half-caste German Jews from Reich, or German, citizenship and prohibited them from marrying or having any sexual relations with persons of "German or related blood." These laws marginalised Jews and removed them of any and all political rights.
-

What events led to Hitler becoming leader of Germany?
- November 8-9, 1921: Hitler attempted to seize power by force in Munich. However he was arrested and convicted of treason.
- December 1924: After being freed from prison, he decided to gain power legally.
- 1932-1933: Hitler ran for the presidency against Paul von Hindenburg. He was appointed Chancellor after the former Chancellor resigned on January 30, 1933.

What were the reactions to his leadership?
When Adolf Hitler came into power the Germans were thankful. This is due to the fact that 75% of people in germany had no jobs. After World War 1 there was a
massive recession and adolf hitler fixed it. When people were starving and families have lost people in there families they did not care for politics. The problem
with the jobs was fixed and once Hitler said it was the Jews fault he had already done so much good. Hitler was good at persuading people and he was able to
make people believe that it was the jews fault.

In 1929, the American Stock Exchange collapsed, and caused an economic depression. America called in all it's foreign loans, which destroyed Weimar Germany. Unemployment in Germany rose to 6 million. The government didn't know what to do. In July 1930 Chancellor Brüning cut unemployment pay, which at the time was the worst thing to do in a depression. In the wake of this struggle, Anger and depression helped the Nazi party gain more support. Many workers turned to communism and this scared wealthy businessmen so they financed Hitler's campaigns.

Hitler was a great speaker and this made people follow him and support him. Moderate politics refused to work together even though combined they had more supporters then the Nazi's. Industrialists gave Hitler money and support and Nazi storm troopers were sent the attack Hitlers opponents.
