2) Time management skills

Our group consists of students from UKM (local) and La Trobe University (overseas). To be honest, everytime when we need to arrange a time for discussion, we always need to come out with a few choices of time and let our group members to check whether they are available or not. Furthermore, we have a difference of two hours in Australia and Malaysia. Sometimes after having a video meeting with our Aussie friends it's already their bed time. The skill that I learn is managing the time effectively. I need to be in front of the computer 15 mins before our meeting starts to make sure my internet connection is stable throughout the video later on. Besides, we will have to follow the time track set for the project to be done. In order to finish our work on time, we have divided into groups according to the universities. This is because it is easier for us to meet up and further discuss on how we want to do the project.

In a conclusion, we will have to equipped with effective time managing skill in handling our studies and assignments for now as a student in order to prevent the dragging of workload and handle our task punctually.

Throughout this project, we have done a simplified yet informative mindmap, a montage video and infographic of norovirus. By researching the background of norovirus, this increases my knowledge on norovirus on the mode of transmission, prevention and incidence. In addition, I am really satisfied with the outcome of our project since it is a result of everyone's effort. I will like to say thank you to my team mates for the co operations and assistance provided. It's a pleasure to meet all of you and work as team mates.

3) Exposure for new e learning tools (Zoom!)

Since we are in Dr Wan class, so basically we are familiar with the use of Padlet [ for reflective journal], Trello [track the progress], Blendspace [ for video compilation] and Popplet [ for mindmap making].

However for this VM-3, it is my first time to know Zoom which is an application for video meeting. Zoom is user friendly and the best thing of it is the function of recording and screen sharing. Hence, we can always record the content of discussion for referance purpose. Morover, using Zoom we can heard each other voice clearly and the video recording is quite stable without interruptions or disconnection.

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to my lecturer Dr Wan for giving us the opportunity to learn. She always want us to expose to different activities which integrated with the tools of e-learning. I know she had been working hard to collaborate with different universities (local and overseas) so that most of the microbiology students can interact and exchange ideas with each other. We always surprised by the ideas of Dr Wan but we know all she did was for our own sake.
