The Talent to Watch Program has three streams: 

  • Industry Partner Stream: For projects that are recommended by a Designated Industry Partner. 

  • Festival Selection Stream: For emerging filmmakers who have directed a short film that was selected at a recognized film festival. 

  • Filmmaker Apply-Direct Stream: All Key Members of the Creative Team must be:

    • Indigenous; 

    • Black; 

    • People of Colour; 

    • Women; 

    • Gender-diverse individuals; 

    • 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals; 

    • Persons with disabilities; and/or 

    • Members of an Official Language Minority Community

]]> 2025-02-06 04:02:12 UTC https://padlet.com/wdonnan/icb9ynxc8a7921la/wish/3317936162 Inside Out RE:Focus post-production fund - Adah HP https://padlet.com/wdonnan/icb9ynxc8a7921la/wish/3318031451 The Inside Out film festival (a festival specializing in LGBTQ+ films) has a funding source called RE:Focus which provides funding for films by female, non-binary or trans filmmakers telling queer stories. The funding is specifically for supporting post-production and festival runs, the film needs to have already been shot and entering post. A rough cut must be provided when applying. Once completed the film must apply for the Inside Out film festival. There have already been 30+ films that have received funding in the past few years. The fund exists to help empower the voices and share the stories of LGBTQ+ minorities who were/are traditionally shunned or underrepresented by the mainstream film industry, including queer women, non-binary and trans filmmakers and queer BIPOC creators.
