The title of this anthology comes from the second story, "Gran'pa Greenbax and the Eternal Smile," a satricial twist on both Disney's Scrooge McDuck character and evangelical religious fervor. The other two stories, "Duncan's Kingdom" and "Urgent Request" play with a Frog King fairy tale in a Medieval(ish) setting, and a modern treatment of the Nigerian prince scam.

Asian Americans, alongside other non-white, non-Protestant folks have often been targeted by the Klan, but the classic Superman actually fought them in a 1946 episode of The Adventures of Superman radio show. This reboot of the righteous DC Comics hero is written by Yang and illustrated by the Japanese manga duo called Gurihiru, who collaborated on the Avatar series.
