For our entry event, students chose a plant to nurture for the school year! Students were advised to read the informational sheets so they could choose a plant that was a good fit for their home environment. Just like plants, we all have different needs & preferences when it comes to learning!

One of my favorite protocols! This was a great opportunity to start brainstorming! Sticky notes for everyone...no such thing as a bad idea! :) Initially done without talking...this means everyone has a voice!

We took those "100 Ideas" and started to group them into categories. Fun to see how many groups had a lot of the same general ideas. And some crazy, fun ideas! And now the ideas start to take shape. The process has allowed so many to have a voice and at the same develop teamwork skills!

We needed an authentic audience to whom we could pitch our ideas, so we reached out to the Teacher Academy Class. Who better to ask? Not only are they the user (student), but they are future educators! Win-win! Great feedback and a great incentive to do some meaningful revision!

We shared our revised ideas out with our class for more feedback!

We learned a lot about how we study, how we learn, and how we work together as a team. Our desk caddies were filled to the brim with sticky notes, doodle pens, highlighter pens, AND...we added a class Keurig to the "what I need to be successful list!" All in all it was a tremendous success!
