This results in a lot of late nights doing schoolwork and even zeros and missing assignments.

Possible Solution: A possible solution to this is locking all of my devices and handing them over to my parents until I finish all of my work.

All Magic Comes with a Price (Worth it Or Not Worth It?): This is not the best solution because there is often too much homework to do in one sitting and I would need a break.

Glaring Problem: The problem I have chosen is staying up too late at night because I’m talking to or texting my friends. This is a problem because it leads me to have a horrible sleep schedule, and makes me extremely groggy in the mornings. This results in me being very sluggish in my first few classes and not getting as much work done, thus creating more homework and stress for me during the week
Possible Solution: One possible solution would be to stop using my phone after 4 pm. This would disable me from talking to my friends too late at night, whilst somewhat maintaining my social life.
All Magic Comes with a Price (Worth It Or Not Worth It?):

It would not be worth it because oftentimes, the people I work with (on school projects, my classmates, etc.) contact me on my phone to discuss projects, homework, etc., occurring after 4 pm most days. This may lead to my grades declining. Additionally, some days, I get off from class at 4 pm meaning that I would not be able to have any time (at all to talk to my friends that day, thus diminishing my social life. Although my phone may be a distraction at times, it is also a useful tool, which will be taken away for about 3 days of the week, which in my opinion is quite counterproductive.

Glaring Problem: Many people die from dehydration every day. On an annual scale about 225 people die from dehydration. And although it doesn’t seem like a lot, I feel as if something as simple as drinking more water shouldn’t be avoided.

Possible Solution: Health experts commonly recommended to the general public that drinking half a gallon would be sufficient enough to not get dehydrated. So, everyone in their household is responsible to drink a half a gallon and record their data to the government.

All Magic Comes with a Price (Worth It Or Not Worth It?) : I don’t think that it would be worth it because this would deteriorate the perception about the government. I see this as an act of generosity from the government, as it doesn’t want any of its people to die from dehydration. But, I just know how the people would react to the government requiring daily data from them.

Glaring Problem: Ocean Acidification is causing small fishes and crustaceans to die causing the bigger fish in the ocean to not have a food source. Ocean Acidification is the ocean’s water becoming more acidic due to CO2 in our air. Not only are we polluting the ground but also oceans, risking the life of aquatic animals.

Possible Solution: Since big fishes are not the only consumers of fishes, many humans rely on them too. I think we should make it illegal to consume fish. Because of the acidity of the water, many ocean life is struggling to reproduce and with humans being predators for them, they will evenly die out.

All Magic Comes with a Price (Worth It Or Not Worth It?): I think this is extremely worth this as bringing down the ocean’s acidity is important because the ocean is where most of the air we breathe comes from. So temporality taking away a small privilege of consuming fish is the start of the journy to keep ocean life rich and healthy.

Glaring Problem: Companies that make junk food have made their products extremely cheap. This encourages people of all backgrounds to consume soda/candy/junk food especially the lower class who can only afford soda and candy. This is a problem because this obviously promotes unhealthier lifestyles.

Possible Solution: Enforcing a sugar tax on junk food and/or lowering the prices of more organic, healthier food.

All Magic Comes with a Price (Worth It or Not Worth It?)

This would be somewhat worth it if it came to be that healthier food was cheaper now but it still wouldn’t do anything for the lower class who likely don’t want to/can’t cook their own meals at home. So it would work somewhat at discouraging people from eating junk food but that only solves half the problem for the people in the lower class.

Problem: Too much plastic packaging for fruits. This is a problem because over the years, pollution has increased. Some of this pollution is on plastic pollution and how much plastic humans use up.

Solution: To reduce plastic use in fruit packaging, just don’t manufacture plastic casings for fruit.

Worth it?: There are benefits and losses to doing this. Benefits are things like using less plastic and in turn, you’re less likely to throw any plastic away at all in fruit packaging. The losses would be things like the way factories need to change their machine to stop making them. There could be other problems like the health risk around leaving fruits in the open when lessing them but I feel like that could be fixed by making smaller reusable containers that stay in the store. This would overall be worth it because the benefits of removing plastic packaging outweigh the losses. This doesn’t mention the thought that more people would start to eat fruit as well which is also good.

If we let the problem go too far out of control there would be massive problems like heat waves, droughts, or even floods. The more people put off this issue the worse the heat waves and droughts will get.

Possible Solution: The solution I came up with to stop climate change would be to stop the burning of oil and fossil fuels. This would help because if the leading cause of climate change were to stop it would probably stabilize.

All Magic Comes with a Price (Worth It Or Not Worth It?): This solution wouldn’t be worth it because a lot of businesses would go out of business and would protest the change. This is because a lot of their factories use the burning of fossil fuels that the solution would prevent.

Glaring Problem: In a world that revolves around technology, it can sometimes become overwhelming. Passwords are needed on every account, and their requirements differ from site to site. With so many passwords and so much on our minds, it can be difficult to remember all of our passwords.
Solution: There is already a solution of saving your password on the website, but what if it becomes compromised. There is also the idea of writing them down on a piece of paper or in your notes, but what if you lose it or can’t find it quick enough. A better solution would be to install a chip in our brain with all of our usernames and passwords, creating instant and easy access when needed.
Worth it?: For the tech-lovers, this may seem worth it since they’re constantly creating new passwords. However, this solution could malfunction and create everlasting effects on the person who had the chip installed. Some people could also become too dependent on the chip and become lazy, or even misuse the chip to their advantage.

Glaring Problem: Teens are not getting enough sleep because they are falling asleep later due to homework and it’s a struggle to wake up earlier for school. This isn’t good because sleep is very vital.

Possible Solution: A possible solution is to be assigned less homework. There can be a requirement as to how much a teacher can assign every day/week.

Overall, it is worth it because students will be getting more sleep. This will allow them to retain information easier. Students will likely be more prepared for school in the mornings as well, and school timings wouldn’t have to change.

Glaring Problem:
I have a big problem with procrastination. I usually always wait to do things to the last minute and it almost always ends up biting me in the but because I may not be totally prepared for anything or I’ll just end up stressing myself out trying to finish things when I could’ve started it earlier.

Possible Solution:
Once the assignment is assigned, I lock every single app that could lead to me getting distracted and make it impossible for me to do anything else other than the assignment.

Worth it?:
This seems like a really good idea but I feel like based off of the way I learn, how I do work, and how I just function, there is no guarantee nor is there a guarantee that this will be very helpful. I am very easily distracted and I don’t really have a good sense of time/time passage and sometimes in order for me to be able to focus, I might need a background noise that plays. Because of that, I just don’t think that method would help me nor do I think that I would be able to do that with the way I learn and work.

Glaring Problem: Many people in the world, especially in the Bay Area have a problem with affordable housing. While wages decrease, housing prices increase, causing many families and people to be displaced. This can put an increased amount of stress, and financial burden upon those who fall into this problem. They then must either find a place elsewhere to live, or get stuck in a cycle of poverty.

Possible Solution: We can change housing prices to a lower value in which these people can afford to live in. With cheaper housing, citizens won’t have to worry about affordability, and the financial decisions about their current shelter.

All Magic Comes with a Price (Worth It Or Not Worth It?) It may not be worth it because by changing house prices to be cheaper, more people will be encouraged to buy these houses. However, we may not have enough money, workers, and land/space to even build the necessary amount of houses to compensate for this decision. This can lead to more government/state debt, and a very dense city.

I have horrible time management skills. I know I have to get things done, and I stress about them, but I procrastinate way too often. So I am procrastinating, scrolling on tiktok or watching Netflix while stressing about the work I don’t want to do. When I end up having to do it later, I feel rushed and overwhelmed. It’s an extremely stressful problem

| A possible solution could be making a schedule. After school, I could have a 45 min break, and then do 1.5 hours of work, and then a 45 min break, and then more work until I run out of time or work. I think this would allow me to mix in relaxation in moderation with the hard work.
 | I think that I would stress about keeping to the schedule and worry when I go off schedule, but it would be worth it for the amount of work I could get done. I waste so much time and this could be a way of getting it back.

If they do not get help to get away from their harsh environments and basic necessities/resources, deaths and suffering will only pile up

A possible solution could be for the government to spend a couple percent of their sometimes over 50% of $3.8 billion that they normally use for the military

It is worth it because I doubt our military is so starved of resources and budget, that if just some of that amount is allocated somewhere else, the effects will be so dramatic that everyone dies.

Problem: One problem I notice is cheating on tests and quizzes. As a TA at my Viet school, I notice the students in my class bring out their phones and use google translate in order to get good grades on the tests. These people are in the older beginner classes, so they are clearly being forced to do it. They just want good grades so their parents don’t get mad at them. It’s a problem because they aren’t learning anything.

Solutions: A possible solution would be to collect devices for the day, and only give it out for breaks.

This solution isn’t worth it because some students don’t participate in this, and it isn’t right to punish them. Also some of these students might have emergencies, and taking their devices would be bad.
