According to Forbes, a study produce by Dr. Kathy Caprino, comparing how a stress situation can affect men and women in a different way, prove that in decision-making men trend more to take risks and be more aggressive in decision-making, and that women are more affect by stress and trend to have less control of the decision, for the fact of no feel enough confident to take risks.

In addition, according to this I think that women are a disadvantaged and need additional support, to help them in the control in decision-making, to improve their manage under high pressure situations, and in this way help women to be more focused in their roll as entrepreneurs.

According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Women’s Special Report (2015), overall Total Early Stage Entrepreneurship Activity (TEA) rates have risen by 7 per cent since 2012 . Despite the recent positive trend in the number and size of women-led businesses, the relevance of female entrepreneurship for theoretical advancement and management practice has not yet received adequate scholarly attention(Ahl, 2006; Brush et al., 2010; De Bruin et al., 2006; Jennings and Brush, 2013; Minniti and Naudé, 2010). There are numerous organizations and institution that claim they are for equality however, not a lot of institutions nor organizations actually implement the process of providing support.

One of the most important obstacles to women’s entrepreneurial activity involves the taken-for-granted beliefs concerning gender roles and stereotyping embeddedeg: in Japanese society (Welsh et al., 2014). Japan’s male-dominated culture influences women to make commitments to family responsibilities and household arrangements (Futagami and Helms, 2009). The additional institution support needed for preventing this would be education. Providing equal educational and working opportunities for women.

Female entrepreneurs need to receive support such as legal and social legitimacy, in order to overcome the uncertainties and risks involved in running and growing their business operations (Suchman, 1995) and, in turn, become highly self-efficacious.It is essential for female entrepreneurs to gain institutional approval of their entrepreneurship in a local society or community because social legitimacy facilitates the allocation of resources and mitigates the liabilities of inexperience to promote better venture performance.

1. Despite growing evidence of the positive outcomes of young women’s economic empowerment, young women continue to experience unequal access to education and skills development and face barriers to securing decent employment and opportunities to thrive as entrepreneurs. Young women’s access to resources, including land and loans, may be restricted by discriminatory laws, and young women continue to shoulder an unequal share of unpaid care work, due to the persistence of traditional gender roles. (UN women)

1. Rural areas tend to be more traditional in regard to the gender issue. In rural areas, the gender issue is usually a much stronger hindering factor to potential female entrepreneurs than it is in urban areas, their self-esteem and managerial skills being lower when compared to urban women and access to external financial resources more difficult than in urban areas. Therefore, special programmes of assistance (technical and financial) to overcome these constraints should be developed and designed to meet the needs of rural women in order to be able to take an active part in entrepreneurial restructuring of their communities, to start to develop their own ventures, to expand their already existing businesses, or to function as social entrepreneurs since their number today is still below the potential one.
