First of all, the main body of rule of virtue in China and the West is different.

Traditional Chinese rule of virtue emphasizes the cultivation of individual virtue.

Secondly, the fields of moral governance in China and the West are different.

The pursuit of traditional Chinese rule of virtue is a political ideal model. The combination of benevolent governance and ritual governance constitutes the traditional Chinese concept of moral governance. Traditional Chinese society regards rule of virtue as both a means of social management and a fundamental political model and value concept.

The Western rule of virtue is more of a presupposition of spiritual space. The influence of Western traditional rule of virtue on society is mainly manifested in two aspects: firstly, establishing the ultimate value goals of human beings, providing spiritual sustenance and free space; The second is to improve people's moral standards through the ethical and moral requirement of religious precepts.
