- Japanese also showed aggression during WWII in a multitude of ways.
- First is the Bataan Death March. Here they treated captured soldiers harshly by making them march 50 miles. If they were to resist, they were punished.
- There is also the rape and massacre of Nanking. Japanese troops brutally murdered and raped residents with approximately 50,000-300,000 deaths.
- Japan also invades Manchuria. They send troops and attack the area, taking over.

- The Nuremberg trials was simply an attempt to deal with war crimes during WWII. This was significant because many leaders created harsh war crimes and thought they could get away with it.
- The international military tribunal represented 23 nations which put Nazi war criminals on trial.
- 22 of the 23 Nazi leaders were charged with war crimes for the mass killing of around 11 million people.

- There were multiple major turning points in WWII.
- One is the Battle of Britain where Hitler attempted to invade Great Britain. The German air force bombed Britain, but Hitler later called of this attack.
- There was also the battle of Midway where the Japanese planned to attack an island 1,500 miles west of Hawaii. Japanese fought for a good 6 months losing nearly 24,000 men causing them to abandon.
- In the Battle of Stalingrad German forces bombed the city. Soviet forces then cut off German supplies killing off many Germans due to frostbite and starvation.
- In the battle of the Bulge Germans created a "bulge" around the forest pushing through the american defensive line.
