All students in the videos had a tablet , a comfortable space at school to use and to be inspired by...but it isn't always like that...Fortunately, these schools with high tech gadgets exist somewhere in Italy...this method may be really effective with those students who have learning or behaviour problems unable to use books, to be concentrated or sit down for long hours at school...

There are useful information concerning all key phases from forming the groups of students to making the final products which can be evaluated by students themselves and teachers as well. Having a learning Story gives a clear idea about the pedagogical methods and strategy used and the competences and skills that students are ought to develop through research, gathering work and creating presentations with the help of new technologies.

I especially liked the Learning story about the digital book trailers. We do have a library and a MultiMedia club during lunch break at school. Moreover our 12- to 14-year-olds have to read books for their mother tongue language classes. The Departmental group always finds it difficult to change the format of the final product for assessing this written task. This idea of producing book trailers which other students can use for choosing a new book to read is a perfect and interesting variation.

Of course, most of the activities will have to be done at home for the obvious reasons (the lack of infrastructure) but as we saw in the second learning story, it is possible to create a Learning Story even if you are not technically well equipped. I have done some projects where I've used something similar to these Learning Stories.

Learning story 1:"Tell a story". ITec methodology allows teachers to rethink teaching by embedding it into "student-centered, project-focused and collaborative learning environments that support the development of 21st century skills". A Learning Scenario offers the pedagogical and technological elements teachers need to implement Learning Activities by incorporating them into a narrative plan, the Learning Story. I definitely see this Learning Story working in my class. I especially like the Explore activity (browsing videos in search for inspiration); the Ask activity (meeting outside experts); the Map activity with the use of Popplet; the Make activity with a further involvement of outside experts. What I mostly appreciate is the way students are in charge of their learning. Moreover, I definitely agree with the teacher as with the flexibility and quality of such a learning experience.
Learning Story 2 "My pet". Involving seventh graders students as "experts" and giving them the task to evaluate and give feedback to the secon graders is an idea worth sharing and implementing in our classrooms too. Finally, Learning Story 3 - "Book trailers"- provides a great example of how powerful can iTec methodology prove at turning a classroom into an engaging, stimulating environment for the students to live in.

The book trailer is very interesting, in my school we made a similar activity. For their reading project each student was asked to make a publicity of his book. They needed to know the elements of flyer and they needed to stimulate the client to buy or read their book. Once we had all the flyers, we organised a contest. The flyers were showed in the school library and students could vote, that is, choose the one they liked more. To the first three winners was given a prize. With more techonology this activity could be done online and diffusion would be bigger of course.

I agree it is perfectly possible to construct a Learning Story without any use of technology. The key point of the iTEC methodology was less about technologies but to reconsider how we organize our lessons into more student-centred, project-focused and collaborative learning environments that support the development of 21st Century Skills. However, I admit that technology can be a powerful tool to help us with this but it is not essential to achieving this goal.

The 3 videos are a nice example of how a great result can be achieved using the iTEC methodology while having less access to technology and receiving less support from outside. All of them tell us very interesting Learning Stories based in collaboration and innovative methodologies that engage students and motivate them in order to build their own knowledge and accomplish the key competences needed in the future classrooms.

I like the ideea of a "Re - Make" to finalize al the work and the ideea about a video chat for the student that are not in the classroom. Even if they are not with their colleagues they can contribute to the activity through the video chat and by collecting and share information in real time using technology. The second video is the prove that interactive learning using technology is a way of learning for almost all the ages. And the learning is fun done in play. "Book trailers" seems to be only a colaboration in makeing a trailer, sharing the opinion about makeing these.
I like "Tell a story"!

I'm really glad two of three videos are about experiences in Italian schools. I'm sure that Italian teachers have always been working for feasible innovation, even when they did/and still don't have a lot of technology at their disposal. Yet, I was impressed by the wonderful physical spaces available both in the low secondary school of Rovereto and the Liceo Classico of Anzio. Having only 'traditional' class spaces can sometimes hinder several activities, or at least make them more difficult to carry out. Creating virtual educational environments might be a solution, but the process is not so easy as students themselves need some time to get used to this new environments and get the best from them.

The creative development in the elaboration of the stories of learning, and the role of the educator as guide, facilitator of the learning.

In the classrooms of children is viable to carry out, being the role of the adult more present in the learning process. With earlier ages could be adapted, taking groups as an adult reference guiding and supporting them. And, little by little, as they become more autonomous and resolute, they move away from that presence.
As for the availability and use of new technologies, it would be necessary not only a technological investment in the classrooms, but also an investment in training on types and their educational possibilities in classrooms.

The moment when pupils have the leading role in a classroom is here. The means to achieve it is not always there, however. We have to be really imaginative to find ways to deal with any problems that come from the lack of technological support.

Ana Fonseca, Portugal: These were inspiring videos. The first one showed students can work easily by collaborating with each other in and outside school. It was a project more based on collaborative learning environments. The second video showed us that even small children can work on their own and it was very interesting. The third video was different and I think in here both the teacher and the students need technological means and knowledge to work in such a project. This is a challenge. The first and second video show apps that I know and sometimes use but the third is a new thing for me. One of my students from the 12th grade used something similar last year when working on a project based learning environment……

Yet quite honestly at this point we aren’t felling able to perform any, we need more time to study, experience and know all the technological panoply unknown for us. We believe that with time we’ll be able to adapt don’t say all but at least one in ours classroom and then will be the best time to make a reflection on this subject. It's hard to give an opinion on something that for us is unknown and never experienced. Assement all steps of the process seems to be complicated. However, it seems in order to prepare a collaborative learning activity according to the described scenarios take long and this is something that worries us

Beautiful and interesting videos, wonderful schools, functional school furniture. It seems like a dream. I teach in a former school in the historic center. I teach in the primary school. I'm not sure if what I plan is similar to what I have seen and appreciated. There are some similar aspects. I promote group work, each group consists of about three students. Typically you decide a argoment. In each group there is a division of roles. Each group is free to develop the topic as it would like, I try to be a guide and a moderator. The school no longer has a multimedia classroom. There is a computer for each time lying classe. In, you use your computer to create maps, acrostics, word-cloud or read simple texts on the subject. The groups report the strengths and the weaknesses. Often, but not always, they share work with colleagues. Rarely they are called experts.

I have gotten second class to do a project on bats on storymaker app. We first read the book "Bats love the night" . Gathered more information on youtube about bats and then each child created a storybook. It worked really well with all children totally engaged.

It 's interesting to see how a traditional lecture can be transformed into a modern and engaging way. In these videos the students are involved through the creation of his own biography, or through the story of famous works. In these cases they are acquired simultaneously disciplinary skills, social and digital. The use of Pinnacole or other similar software lets you produce more or short stories phenomena seizing the main sequences, inserting music chosen according to a personal point of view. As a filmmaker sets his film, a student becomes the protagonist of their own learning.
