SIEP DAY 1

The first day at Al-Khatiri company i arrived at 10 a.m. I was asked to go to the office and sit at my own table. At first I was only asked to read brochures and pamphlets about restaurants, hotels, travel and tours, clothes and perfume boutique so I knew more about the company.Through the pamphlet and brochure, I was able to identify the type of room available at al-khatiri hotel and the type of food sold at the al-khatiri restaurant.

Human resources staff invited me to get acquainted with other staff from various departments. I got acquainted with staff from the office, hotel department, restaurant department, boutique and bookstore.

Then I was assigned to follow the department marketing staff to meet with the client. We are traveling by car in the Kubang Kerian area only. I met clients in several places such as staff from Kelantan Land Department, SPRM, TNB, as well as Agriculture department. Then i came back to the office and working time ends at 7pm

Today i came to the company at 10 am.

The second day working in al-khatiri, I was given the assignment for a discount coupon stamp to be distributed to potential customers. The coupon is a discount coupon for the purchase of 20 percent perfume.

Completing the assignment, I was given another assignment to paste the purchase receipt as evidence to claim money. After pasting, I need to arrange the receipt according to the date and insert it in the file.

Finishing the assignment, I was given another job to find a pottential customer in the area of Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and others. The list of customers is searchable based on departments available throughout the country. The details that need to be taken from these customers are the office name, contact name, phone number, email, and fax.

After that, I sat at the desk in the office and looked at the staff design brochure and pamphlet. I am an observer and graphic designer staff I am brief about how to create a pamphlet to promote the products and services in the company. Done with that, I am allowed to go home at 7 pm.

The third day I worked, as usual I came at 10 am. I was asked to pack a corporate shirt belonging to the staff office to post to the al-khatiri branch of travel and tours in the bangi. Before that, I had to arrange the corporate suit according to the size, and type. After completing the dress, I sent a parcel to the post to the al-khatiri branch in the bangi.

After completing the first assignment, I rest for an hour to eat and pray. After that I was asked by staff markerting to find a pottential buyer on the website within the corporate, clinic, hospital, and more. That assignment I set up to finish working hours.

Today I came to the office at 10 am to continue working yesterday looking for a pottential buyer to boutique hotels, restaurants, fragrances, and boutique boutiques. Until 11am, I need to follow the staff from the marketing department to come out to meet clients and be happy. I went to Perodua Wakaf Siku. The festival only invites famous people in the field of tourism. I met En Aidil as the head of the tourism ministry in Kelantan but I did not have time to photograph her. But I had a brief conversation with the hotel's minister and had a picture with her.

I came at 10 am and sat in the office, after which I was asked by the staff from the marketing department to accompany him to see the client so that I could also learn how to meet a client. I wear a proper dress, perfume, and teaching how to properly speak with the customer.

The first customer I met was Mrs Izan as a staff at Wisma Vida Beauty. Then I met Mrs. Aisyah as head of the administrative assistant at the Police Contingent headquarters. The last clerk I met after attending the zohor prayer was Capt. Zaid as the assistant director at the Kota Bharu guesthouse.

The sixth day I was asked to arrive early at 9am to buy a lamb at the restaurant to be served to customer from arab at 12 noon. The goat needs to be bought early so that the chef can smoked the lamb before the customer arrived.

After completing the purchase, I sat in the office and was given the task to paste the receipt on paper to facilitate the work of al-khatiri accountant to key in into the system. After that work, I was given another task to serve the staff who came to the office to pick up their new corporate shirt. I give their corporate shirts according to the size of the shirt they requested.

Because the staff at the restaurant was not enough, I once again went downstairs to the restaurant to keep the cashier in place of the other cashier who was having her break. Today I am allowed to answer a phone call from a customer who wants to book a table, order a delivery or order in the future. I also need to memorize the phone code numbers of each department to facilitate the work when the customer requests to be connected to another department.

The seventh day I was asked to do work at the cashier by helping the other cashier named Irah. Since the restaurant is open at eleven o'clock, I come to work at 10 am for prep. Before opening a restaurant, I was briefed by a supervisor at the restaurant about what to do in the restaurant before it opened to the customer. I wipe the table, sweep the rubbish, make sure the cleanliness and cutlery fittings are on the table.

Like the previous day, I was in charge at the counter. At 7pm, I was allowed to go home because I was just a practical student.

I came to the office as usual at 10 am. After cleaning the table and sweeping the garbage, I was asked by HR to work under as a cashier. Because I'm new, I'm just allowed to help the customer if they need help or directions. I was also asked to always smile at all times to keep the restaurant reputable. Every time, I need to record the number of customers present today.

After lunch, I accompanied the runner to buy mydin kitchens for a lot of things to buy. Shopping kitchenware is ready after about an hour at mydin. Goods purchased are goods at bulk prices. Then I send items to the store behind the restaurant and arrange the items neatly and according to the type of goods. The goods in the store are placed at certain temperatures to ensure the goods are not easily damaged.
After that I continued working as a cashier until 7 pm.

Arrived at the office at 10 am. I was given a task to type, print and glue the tagging to the file according to the type of files. The files divided by difference of colour. Green for restaurant, yellow for hotel, red for boutique perfume, and blue for other kind of files like account, shareholder, investor, pay slip and so on.

The work is done at 5pm because there is a lot of files need to be separated. After that, kak zira give me task to cut the pamplet paper to be given out to customer.

Last day at Al-Khatiri Sdn Bhd, my task in the morning is that i need to go buy office facilities such as glue, files, A4 paper in bulk, tape and so on. Kak mimi and i together we go to Mydin to buy the item. After that, i was asked to search potential list of customer in terms of school, hospital, clinics and so on.
