Yo! Okay, So here's padlet number 5! I'll cover some stuff on repetition, and how it makes music more enjoyable in a lot of cases, but how it can also make it awful in others. It's pretty rare to find a song today that doesn't have at least some form of repetition in it, whether it's the lyrics being repeated in a chorus, or just the melody in the background. I agree with the argument that Ratliff gave in regard to the concept of repetition. People typically try to stay very far away from music that doesn't make them want to sing along. Even the songs that we find annoying or overplayed, we can't help but enjoy listening to, even partially.

The moral of the story is that when you go and take any song or piece of music that has been even remotely popular at any point in history, and you begin to disect it in order to find out what gives it its "pizazz", I'm willing to bet that the repetition of at least one concept throughout the entire song will be one of the key factors that contributed to its success.
