In this page Eddie meets the first person in heaven which is the blue man who was apart of the freak show at the circus in the early 1930s when Eddie was a kid he ran out in front of the blue man's car when not looking and the blue man swerved into a tree and sadly die Eddie then goes to the blue man funeral and Eddie fees bad and upset saying this happens for no reason and the blue man says that "there are no random acts" and "everything happens for a reason" I picked this because of the message that I did believe everything does happen for a reason one event leads to another that is how life works

in this paragraph Eddie feels distraught and upset as now this random man that he did not know died because of him and that he does not deserve it. But then the blue man tells him that something good came out of this and Eddie got to live and have a long and fulfilled life and that Strangers are just family yet to come. the reason i picked this page is because it shows the kindness of the blue man and that everything happens for a reason just like the blue man said

in this page we learn that the second person Eddie meets in heaven is his captain who he was in war with the and he died stepping on a landmine trying to save his troops. Now the captains lesson was that sacrifice was apart of life and that you might not know it but you make sacrifices everyday and they can benefit other people. the captain sacrificing himself saved Eddie and the rest of his troops from also stepping on a landmine. The reason I picked this page is because its true everybody make sacrifices everyday weather its sacrificing you're free time to go to school or do a sport or parents sacrificing their food for their kids people make sacrifices for the greater good

in this page we learn that the captains heaven is the same battleground he fought on during the war and that he died on and while Eddie does questions why he picked this place to him it looks terrible and crappy but the captain tells him that's cause you are seeing it that way you have too lighten up and as he does that the crappy wasteland turns into a beautiful field where the captain now lives

for Eddie's whole entire life he thought that his father died because of hid drinking problem he can never see his dad acting or being a good person because he wasn't a good person but him finding out the truth how his dads friend mickey who tried to sexual assault his mom his dad saw him and then tried to chase him but mickey fell into the water so his dad tried to save him from drowning but then his dad saved him showing that he did have a good side to him. I picked this because it shows that you might not know the truth about everybody not saying that his dad was a good person but he did do some good things.

in this lesson ruby tells Eddie not to hold a grudge and that Eddie should forgive his father while Eddie is hesitant it he eventually does forgive him and Eddie's dad accepts his apology and this makes him now have a better relationship with his father. I picked this page because I do believe that you should never hold a grudge as holding a grudge makes you look just as bad always forgive and forget

the fourth person Eddie meets in heaven is his wife Marguerite when she was 47 she died of a brain tumor he has not seen her in over 30 years so him meeting her was a little sad but they talk about their dates and he talks about how beautiful she was. He talks about when she died he became very depressed and "let the days go stale" she tries to tell him that he shouldn't have done that and that she knew they would reunite someday. I picked this page because it shows that everyday between her Death he this ks about her his love for her never went away

the fourth lesson by Marguerite is that even after death the love and connection with loved ones remains. I picked this page because it is very emotional and even when a family member or loved one dies you're love for them will always stay the same.

The fifth and final person eddie meets in heaven is the girl that burned int he barn when Eddie and his troop burned it down this entire time Eddie was right he was not crazy he did see somebody in the barn and now there dead because of something he did it start to haunt him he starts screaming "I killed you" she then tries to calm him down but he is still visibly upset. I picked this because it shows that we are always haunted by our past mistakes

the final lesson we learn is that Eddie purpose in life this entire team was to take care of the children and love them that was always his job he protected that girl saving her after this Eddie gets to pick his heaven and the heaven Eddie picks is the boardwalk as that is where he spent his entire life. I picked this because while it is very sad to see that girl unfortunately died its a happy ending for him and now he is ready for when is one of the five people
