I'll Give You the Sun is a young adult fiction book that follows the story of twins and their experience with the death of their mother. The perspective of the book switches from Noah's that leads up to his mother's death and Jude's after her mother's death. Through both of these perspectives the stories connect to answer questions and discover identities. The book itself involves familial issues, trauma, passions, LGBTQIA+ identities, mystery, and self discovery. Jandy Nelson writes with beautiful imagery and descriptive text to bring characters, settings and feelings to life!
