Miep Gies resisted against the Nazis by hiding Jews and other religions hide and stay safe from the Nazis during the Holocaust risking her life

During the Holocaust many Jews were being killed by the Nazis so when Miep heard about this she decided to help the Jews escape from the Nazis. When she heard that her boss was a Jew she jumped into action and immediately helped hide them behind a book shelf inside the office and consistently brought them food and supplies to survive.

After the war Miep survived and became impregnated. She was the holder of Anne's journal and protected for all the years they were gone and returned the journal to Anne's father after the war. Miep lived to be 100 years old dying on January 11th 2010.
