Thank you for all you've done for the students, staff and families of NBAPS over the past 30 years! To honor you appropriately, I searched for a word that would exemplify your amazing gifts and talents. 

Multipotentiality refers to the abilities of a person to excel in two or more different areas.  You certainly have the superpowers of a multipotentialite! Thank you for sharing your superpower of problem solving. You have an uncanny ability to see issues from a wide variety of angles and foresee potential hurdles long before they must be navigated. I know when you have a wonderment that you are lifting up multiple perspectives so that all angles of the problem can be solved. You see beyond your own responsibilities and pay close attention to how decisions made at one level of our school district will affect others. I can see how your superpower of problem solving made you successful in each role you assumed through the years.

Thank you for sharing your superpower of navigating change. You understand that there is a human side of change that requires additional time and attention. You are so effective at helping others unite around a purpose which motivates a collective will to continuously improve.

Thank you for sharing your superpower of kindness. Your genuine empathy and  ability to come alongside a student or family so that they can get more out of their educational experience is inspiring!

I admire your superpowers and I appreciate your years of service to the students and families of NBAPS!

It wouldn't be a note from me if I didn't say thank you for your dedication to the hard things. To the work that typically goes unnoticed or unseen, for your time sacrificed at home and with your family to be sure students and staff were prioritized, for brainstorming things at 3AM when everyone else is sleeping, for being a phone call or text away in crisis, making the tough decisions, attending meetings around the clock, for creating building schedules to wiping tables and serving lunch, always making time for students when you have a to do list a mile long, and showing up each day always striving to be better than the day before. 

I started my role here as green as they come and I've truly learned from, admired, and will dearly miss your unbounding patience, silly and solution-focused spirit, and your courageous yet humble leadership. I hope retirement brings you more slow mornings, time outdoors, travel to new destinations, audiobooks (more than just on your walks to and from Ed. Center), time with your family, and bliss with your grandbabies. It may be a "hard thing" to close this chapter but I hope the next is filled to the brim with wonderful things.
