I think that the title sounds happy but sad at the same time I think that Kenny is happy to go with his family and get rid of Byron but is also feeling bad for him because he has to live with grandma sands. i think the difference is that this time there either is not a different thing going on and that he is excited to go to birmingham and that he may not be the only view this time this time they might be seeing everything through his brother byrons eyes also it is not heperbolic .

The differnce of the title to chapter 9 is that it is not hyperbolic like the rest of the emails. Based on this I can infer that this chapter is wheat they drive to Grandma sands house on Birmingham, Alabama. I think that this is when they figure out about the segregation and I think that this is the great big turning point in the whole story.

The tone of this story so far is mean because Byron was misbehaving and the parents had no choice but to send Byron to grandma sands for the whole summer and if he does not behave their he will have to stay their for the whole school year

The title is The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963. The tone is definitely more serious and not as fun. I think that the tone might change because it is beginning to be very serious about how they are going to Birmingham and might be leaving Byron there. At first, Kenny thought it would be awesome to leave Byron there, but now his attitude might be changing about the Birmingham trip.

The chapter title is very literal, being "The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963". Instead of being pretty crazy or about just one scene in the chapter, this title is, with no doubt, about what the chapter will be. The last couple chapters have been mostly details about getting ready for the trip, but now is is pretty much guaranteed that they will leave to go to Birmingham.

This title of the chapter it definitely different from the others. Most titles are funny and hyperbole but this one is serious almost like he was in a bad mood and do not want to be funny. I think that he might have done this because he wanted to show the reader that he was not in his regular mood and wanted the tone of the next chapter to be serious and not joking around. At first Kenney was Characterized as funny and now we can see his serious side we have never seen before.

First of all, the title for the chapter is the title for the book. Also it is direct and not very interesting like the other titles. For example, the title of chapter 3 is The World's Greatest Dinosaur War Ever. This kind of draws the reader in, wondering what it means. I can tell that they might not be much to exaggerate about, or that the trip was not good or exciting at the beginning, so Kenny couldn't do an exaggerated interesting title. Also they all might have been upset because Byron was not behaving in the car, or got into a huge fight with his parents.

The new title of the next chapter is The Watson go to Birmingham 1963. I think the reason that it is not in Kenny's voice is because it is an event that affects the whole family all the other chapters were about Kenny's friends or his toys but now they are going on a trip which the entire family will go on. The tone is more happy and the parents are being really nice so I infer that the entire family except Byron is going to go and have fun in Alabama and Byron will have to stay with Grandma Sands all day everyday. If that does not happen then I think the dad is going to turn it into a learning trip were the entire family will have to stay with Grandma Sands the entire trip because I think that it is looking like the parents think that Byron has rubbed off on Kenny and his little sister Joey. I think that this title sounds like it would be more from a narrator's point of view. It seems more serious because the other ones seemed more playful like Nazi Parachutes Attack America and Get Shot Down by Captain Byron Watson and His Flamethrower of Death. I think that Kenny might miss Byron because no matter how much he can dislike him at times he is still his brother and he protects Kenny sometimes and he will miss that probably.

I think the tone change in title has to do with the tone in the chapter. The title is more serious than it usually is, and I'm guessing the chapter would have more of a serious tone as well because the chapter titles are usually over exaggerated ways of describing a scene that was funny or bad, because it's from Kenny's prospective. .

It's different in the way that it seems the tote of it is more serious than all of the rest of them.The chapter titles have been light hearted and cheerful for example "Every chihuahua in America lines up to take a bite out of Byron."Those chapters seem to be happy or funny but "The watsons go to birmingham 1963" seems ominous like Kenny is upset he's going to birmingham of this is the point in which the story gets real or serious.i

this title is more matter of fact than the other titles which mainly symbolized things but this one simply tells you what happens, which may mean that this is a more serious chapter with more impact than all the other chapters. it may also mean that this is the most important chapter so far.

This title is different because this one seems more serious and real. All the other ones seem like Kenny is using hyperbole to make it sound more intense and interesting. The tone of this one is real while the other ones are just crazy and having a wild adventures. I think the reason this one is more serious is because in Birmingham at 1963 it was a very racist and hard time for blacks which is a very serious thing especially because the Watsons are black. For example he could have said the Watsons go on a wild adventure to Birmingham.

In the past eight chapters we have read, we have had to stop and think about what each title could mean thinking about Kenny's more ignorant perspective, his hyperbole, as well as his excitement and interest in the event he is going to show us. This is not the case for the title of chapter nine, for it is more straightforward, formal, and direct. Therefore, Kenny's tone does not come through very strongly, or even at all. What I can infer from this formal and more serious tone as well as the change of tone is that the mood overall is becoming more serious at the Watson household, therefore Kenny is acting and behaving in a more serious manner (as part of his characterization), and this comes through in his tone. In addition, I believe that this may be the beginning of the big event or climax of the story, leading to the black moment. this because Byron's behavior and his parent's frustration has been escalating, resulting in the rising action, and finally the Watsons have had enough. If this is indeed the climax of the story, then it would make sense why Kenny would be more dramatic or serious about it, because it is a big event. Therefore, I think overall the change of tone has to do with the mood in the household as the climax may or may not be coming up.

This title is very different from the others. All the others are funny little titles that you could see Kenny saying. This one is simple "the Watsons go to Birmingham 1963" I'm inferring that is the chapter where they Start heading down to Birmingham to drop Byron off to stay with his grandma sands.

I think that since it is in Kenny's perspective he is the one writing the titles so maybe he realizes that he doesn't really want Byron to leave and he is thinking about how at school people will be extremely mean to him because Byron won't be there to protect him. I think he is calm on the outside but panicky on the inside and kinda sad that Byron is leaving and totally forgot about all of the cool games and everything that he usually plays to create the titles. Maybe something scary happens on the way there and it changes the whole mood of the chapter or they find out about the segregation and it is just a stiff unreal feeling.

It is different because most of them are metaphors or something funny, like"Every Chihuahua in America Lines Up to Take a Bite Out of Byron". I think the mood of the title changes because Kenny might be afraid to make a sarcastic comment about Byron because Byron will leave him soon so Byron won't care if he is in trouble.

The title of the chapter is also the title of the book. It also isn't a hyperbole, this is telling what is going to happen in this chapter other than defining it. The tone of this chapter sounds serious. Unlike the other titles they are more joking or funny.

The title of Chapter 9 is The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963. To me this title is more literal than the rest and to me has kind of a darker/more weary feel, this title does not really show Kenny's tone all the way through, like there is something holding him back. I can infer that this chapter might have some hardship with Byron and the family since this is something bad for him. I feel that Kenny has a more serious feel about this title and that it is not really as playful or fun to him anymore, I think that this really shows Kenny as a person, he gets affected largely by anything that happens in the story. His tone and mood becomes different based on what happens for example when he meets Rufus he gets excited/happy but then when Byron starts beating up Larry Dunn Kenny seems to change heart and he feels bad for him. I think that Kenny's home is going to be more serious based on the title and they will have a change of heart based on the next few chapters.
