In the second edition by Christopher Priest, he is built more powerfully, and is portrayed as more brutal and commanding, with tech (and a love interest, as seen in the last slide of that section it seems) by his side.
In the version created by Ta-Nehisi Coates, T'Challa is portrayed much more as a king;  leader of his people before savior to the world. He cares far more for peace and the well-being of "his children" than being seen as a hero in his nation.
