Organizational behavior and administration are two essential roles that an individual need to learn and understand in order to be successful in the higher education field. Understanding how to connect with a diverse population on a campus to help tap into the leadership qualities the students have. In my experience encouraging and allowing students to leave a positive legacy on a campus not
only bringing in more students to get involved but makes the students work harder. This would not happen if the staff and faculty did not understand how to tend to the student needs. I am hoping to become a better leader that will be able to understand the needs of my future students and university in order to create a great college experience.

Studies investigating organizational behavior as a source of influence on student outcomes rarely consider individual students as the unit of analysis or as the appropriate source of data collection. Instead, these studies tend to concentrate on changes in student outcomes at the institutional level through the use of aggregated student scores. This problem has been compounded in many studies of organizational effectiveness by the use of administrator and faculty perceptions of student outcomes rather than the use of actual measures of student perceptions and behavior. As a result, we have some knowledge about how organizational behavior affects students as a group at particular institutions, but we have limited understanding about how organizational behavior at a college affects different students within the same organizational environment. I am seeking to learn from this course a broader perspective on what organizational behavior truly means in all aspects and not just within Higher Education but also from a business point of view as well.

Organizational Behavior and Administration go hand in hand together. Understanding and learning about the individual or group behavior play a significant role in building and establishing a strong rapport within the administration. Although this class may focus more about how this can be applied in Higher Education, I do not think it is solely relevant into this field alone. Every businesses, corporations, public or private institutions to name a few, can definitely gain insight once they have become familiar in learning about what is best for both employees and the employer. The skills to understand behaviors are vital in order to build a strong and successful foundation. What I am hoping and really looking to learn more from this class is to have a better understanding of what it really is all about. In addition, I would love to know how I can benefit from it and eventually utilize what I will learn towards both my professional and personal growth.

Organizational behavior refers to the study of behavior or the study of the actions of people within a working environment. This study focuses on both internal and external factors and how these factors influence behaviors in different aspects such as on the individual level and the group level. It also takes into regard the organizational setting, which influences the aspects of the individual and group behavior. Administration is the way in which a business or organization is operated on a daily basis and correlates with the organizational setting. In administration, one must recognize and learn the way in which employees behave and why, and what influences the action of it's employees. It would be nearly impossible to become successful and work in the best interest of everyone without being able to understand the behaviors and influencers of an organization. For this particular course, I’m curious to learn more in depth about organizational behavior, what it truly entails, and what skill sets can I build on for personal and professional growth as well as my future role.

Organizational behavior is the study of both group and individual performance and how that effects the activity within an organization. Organizational behavior is extremely important because it helps organizations understand why something is happening based on their employees behaviors. The administration factor comes into play because organizations must understand that their administration have a direct impact on how their employees act and produce work. It's important for organizations to focus on their organizational behavior and administration as a whole because this can help them produce better results or come to and understand as to why something is happening. I am interested in learning more about this because typically organizations do not always think of both sides when something goes wrong, they usually just blame one side. I'd also like to learn personally what skills I can work on to help me in my current role in higher ed.

I'm interested in learning more about what Organizational Behavior consists of. Based on the name, I would guess that Organizational Behavior is how employees and supervisors at different levels interact with each other. It's important that everyone within an organization is able to work together without butting heads or feeling disrespected. Administration is the way that organizations are able to operate smoothly. Although I have a rough idea of business structures, I'm interested in learning more about what positions make up a college or university administration.

Organizational behavior is the study of how individuals and groups interact within a business or in this case institution. The administration describes those individuals in leadership positions with the ability to shape or influence the organizational culture or climate. I am interested in seeing the role of college administrators in molding the organizational behavior of an institution. In my years working, I have noticed some of the cultural changes with a turnover in senior staff and would love to in advance become aware of how my actions affect those around me.

Administration refers to the individuals who lead these organization and how they influence the atmosphere and climate in the work environment. I am interested to learn more about how this connects with higher education. In a college/university setting, there needs to be a certain environment created for students, faculty, and staff to feel supported and comfortable. I am also interested to see how administration in different universities are viewed and how they effect their community in different parts of the country.

Organizational behavior is a conceptual approach to the way an organization functions and grows as well as the outcomes it rendered to its members and the communities it serves and provides services to. Administration is the driving force or team that manages the infrastructure of the organization broken down from the CEO to the staff members the administration is responsible for the workings of the organization. One of the things that I am most interested in is the proper structuring of the admistarion as a body and its executive criterior.
