But in some cases, human activities are the ones causing soil erosion, especially farming and land clearing, leaving soil vulnerable to erosion.

  • Do not overuse land, use land according to its capability. 
  • Protect the soil surface with some form of cover. 
  • Control runoff before it develops into an erosive force. 
  • For areas with light erosion problems, replanting with vegetation and covering the area with mulch are one of the better solutions.  
  • For soil erosion along roads, we can cover the road with mulch or stones. 
  • For heavy erosion in areas of concentrated flow, the most effective solutions are to check dams or terraces. 
  • Planting more trees, the roots of trees and plants will hold the soil and prevent it from sloping.
