I'm Sandra López Sierra, i have 22 years old and live in Cartagena/Colombia. I have been studying Law at the University of Cartagena since 2019.

Things that I consider important about the University of Cartagena

1. Most teachers provide a high-value education. For example, they are always attentive to any concerns the student has.

2. The campus is open with green areas. For example, when I have to stay a little more than two hours at the University, I usually sit on their benches and enjoy all the beauty of nature.

3. There are research hotbeds that allow you to grow a lot as a Udeceista student. By being part of one I have realized how valuable it has been for my career and personal growth.

Important experience at the University of Cartagena

I am part of a research hotbed, called conflict and society. The truth is, I got there thanks to a great friend, because he trusted me and the great work I could do. Therefore, we were in charge of giving a presentation at the Sergio Arboleda University in Santa Marta, with many other seed producers from our faculty. The truth was it was a unique experience for me, I had never traveled with friends and alone. I learned a lot, made good friends and gave my all every day I was there.

How has the University of Cartagena influenced me? What do I hope to achieve?

The truth is, I underestimated my stay at the University of Cartagena. It has been hard work, sometimes good, sometimes bad and sometimes you want to throw in the towel but, loving my career so much, I do not let myself be defeated and I always go with my face held high, fighting against all the obstacles that come my way.

I hope to graduate and place the name of the University of Cartagena on something, in gratitude for everything it has forged in me.
