We have come a long way together from drawing the most fantastical tree houses to doing math together(yuck), building little libraries, Dissecting owl pellets, studying so many subjects, identifying local birds,  and teaching me about Minecraft (you tried anyway). So many wonderful memories I will cherish always. I loved our many walks discussing whatever was on your mind. I have watched you overcome obstacles with hard work and encouragement from your wonderful mom.
And as smart as I know you are, with that special brain of yours filled with knowledge, I believe your best traits are not from books. Your honesty and compassion are my favorite part of you. 
I once drew a picture for you of me climbing into your "head" to see what was going on in there. Little did I know I would be given the opportunity to find out for myself. I did get to climb inside. I am thankful everyday for you being a big part of my life. It has been a wild ride, much like a roller coaster. Ups and downs.
