I like how it looks at a passage for spelling, grammar, phrasing and eloquence. My students have a hard time with the spelling and grammar, but this gives suggestions in a way that feels different than traditional word-correcting programs. We are currently working on The Giver by Lois Lowry. The students are intrigued by how the main character Jonas and the other members of his society receive their permanent job assignments from the elders at age 12. I thought it would be interesting to see what jobs my students felt that they were qualified to secure with their current level of education.
