It’s my first time to join in a holy pilgrimage ang I feel blessed to have been in a group that is led by Sandra. Praise be to God for He has perfectly chosen someone like Sandra to lead this huge group of pilgrims. By the grace of God, it’s such a feat for her to to be fully equipped with the leadership skills that is necessary to lead a huge diverse group, her sense of command and discipline with a motherly touch and an extra humor on the side which never fails to crack us up, makes everyone’s experience just light and smooth.

Thank you Sandra for allowing yourself to be God’s instrument to lead us and we appreciate you for sharing us that gift of leadership, may God bless you with excellent health so you can lead more future pilgrimages. Thank you also Fr. Damien for being God’s instrument of making the pilgrimage even more meaningful with your daily reflections during masses and sometimes in the bus during travels. Dearest Sandra, thank you so much for making my first pilgrimage a wonderful one. Apart from what we could see you doing, you did so much more quietly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. Yet none of the stress dampened your cheerfuless and sense of humour, including your very enjoyable "ding dong" announcements! 😂 Your sheer joy, resourcefulness and calmess under pressure demonstrated true leadership and faith. When things got tough at the Bosnia border, your calm and steady way kept us together. What stood out was not only your skill in keeping everything organised, but also the warmth and care you showed to each of us, especially in your patient, step-by-step guidance on Apparition Hill.

Dear Sandra,

One of the spiritual experiences during this pilgrimage is to witness your faith working through love. Laughter accompanies you wherever you go. Pilgrims extend a helping hand to one another, all in part to your purposeful organization. When faced with the challenge at the customs your concern was written both in your voice and on your face. Your meticulous attention to detail reflects the extent of this concern for the members of group. You are so full of life. Truly Christ lives in and through you.

And truly, the pilgrimage was successful (besides God's grace) because of your planning before the trip, leadership during the trip and selflessness in taking on the tour guide role to help bring the cost of the pilgrimage down.
